Pull the lever and knock shadowjerk out with that box.
Do this, it's less dangerous than jumping.

Maybe there is a REASON we are not supposed to die? There may be consequences later on...

Dying a lot sucks.
See title, if we died infinitely then we would kind of be undermining the point of the game.

Or maybe that's what we're supposed to do? Destroy the whole system in this dungeon area thing?

I accept all consequences as inevitable as death itself. Fill the halls with our myriad corpses! Let Niether time nor Death stop us!

Let's not kill him just because we can alright?

Instead, let's try to find the best possible way we cannot die.

Falling kills.

Those black copies kill.

Traps kill.

She is out there, but we don't know that yet...

We have red arms.

Pull the lever!
and knock shadowjerk out with that box.

if it failed, jump to the shining purple thing.

This game is getting surprisingly existential.

Okay, I think I see what needs to be done.

The lever toggles the purple bridge and the flimsy purple bridge. Pull it.

Now push the block over the ledge below the formerly flimsy bridge. Go back and pull the lever again, restoring the first bridge and causing the block to fall onto the ledge.

Now jump onto the block, and from there to the bridge. Grab powerup before shadow guy can reach you.

(If we can, find a way to lure the shadow guy onto the bridge before turning it off. But I think we'll need the powerup to deal with him.)

It seems that the first powerup was hands, and this one is arms. Arms aren't much use without hands. We are so very powerful compared to the mortal scumbag.

Pull the lever to see what it does. If it turns off the bridge, unpull the lever, jump onto the bridge, take the powerup, and jump back. If we are approached too fast, unpull the lever to drop the evil. If we get arms and hands, try to kill the shadow with our fists of power.

Alternatively, screw everything and negotiate with the shadow.
