Alright, I'm tripping out, here. Is that 612DwarfAvenue, who I haven't seen around in forever, talking to Fenrir, the person famous for disappearing for large amounts of time?

I nominate Fenrir for Least Constant User, possibly only challenged by Vester.

@612DwarfAvenue - Seriously bro, what kind of threat is that? Threatening to say that we're all people?

Okay people this thread is getting a little out of hand here.
Really, insulting each other? Is this how far down we've fallen?

Woah, what happened here?

I think the early posts in this thread were right, in regards to it getting ugly. Let's calm down.

Going Superman and bending the rails back aligned; I nominate Janet for making the HAPPY thread, and being a good moderator of the thread as well. On that note, we need one in here before things get further out of hand.

Methinks Necro should get "best avatar."

The entirety of Dwarf Fortress in a time-bending 1 second loop.

EDIT: Oi, he got banned. Nevermind then. ::)

If I hadn't already given my vote to Tonny, I'd... Probably still give my vote to Toony.
Sorry, but nobody can compete with his deliriously biznasty persona.

Am I the only one that thinks these can't be good ideas? At least not without some kind of oversight and moderation built in? I mean I'm all for the community getting together and doing things, as well as getting along. But this got ugly fast.

I personally don't think I'd nominate anyone anyway. I'd feel like I was doing a disservice if I singled anyone out. Most of you guys, even the ones that don't get along with me or I personally don't get along with very well are pretty awesome.

And all of this probably would've gone down nicer if it was done through pm's or poll... And if the requirements for each place was defined.

Indeed. If he just put more rules, and basically sorted everything out before posting this idea, it would've been a bit better.

Let's just give ourselves an internet group hug.

Neeewwwwwwp. You are not.

I don't actually have anything to contribute to this thread, though, as it's all either already been said by Janet or would be kinda incredibly hypocritical of me to say.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
