I think this thread dying with a group hug is fitting.

Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

What, your eyearms?  I think that's about as high up as you can get, appendage-wise, assuming that you still indulge in a concentrated center for your nervous system and haven't gone back to eyespots like the rest of us.

As we figuratively group hug, Aerosmith's I Don't Wan't to Miss a Thing plays, as we await the inevitable figurative asteroid dropping from the sky and into this thread.

I'd like to nominate Putnam for 'Most Helpful Modder' award. :P

:O

I didn't expect my vanity search on this topic to actually come up with something!

Personally, I'd like to nominate Footkerchief for the "search n' making Toady's answer job easier" award

Can this thread get locked? It just seems like it's already flying off the rails, and it's getting nastier as we go.

No, it's a bad idea because there were no rules set up. It's a free for all.

And also, Necro broke the rules. I find some of his posts amusing, but his derails were irritating as well.

To clarify I fully support the ban. I'm not sure now that my original post made that clear, so I'll edit it out. My question is why not let the people who have been enjoying themselves so far without too much hostility just continue to enjoy themselves. Feel free to come in later (if it comes crashing down).

Maybe it's parasitic. It never loses its flavor because you eventually die from having your nutrients stolen by it.
