Dropping the straitjackets in the hallway, you and Santana make a break for the nearest window. Looks like you're on the second floor, so you jump out! You both land on a thick, well-tended lawn. You look back at the front of the building.

Pittsburgh Re-Education Center

Re-education center? What's going on here?!

You appear to be in front of the building; there's a parking lot to the right, and an alleyway leading to the street to the left. Several security guards come out of the front of the building and start running toward you!

You and Santana run to the left, into the alleyway and around the corner, onto main street. Immediately you recognize your home town of Pittsburgh, and memories begin to flood back. Your old friend Skyler Rünhausen... playing breakout clones on the Game Boy... and of course the many Christmases past.

But this isn't Pittsburgh. It can't be.



Everywhere you look, you see it: the hammer and sickle, symbol of the arch-nemesis of Christmas: COMMUNISM! The streets are lined with red banners depicting the unholy symbol, and uniformed COMMUNIST soldiers march in unison down the street! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING

You hear the security guards making their way through the alleyway toward you.

Howard: Quick, into the dumpster!

You and Santana jump into the dumpster and close the lid. Curiously, this totally works and the guards don't think to look inside. Ater a minute or so, you climb back out of the dumpster and onto the street. The world swirls around you, and you can feel the Christmas Spirit being forcefully drained from your mind as you look around the street. Suddenly, a soldier approaches you!

Soldier: Citizen! It is seventeen minutes after curfew. I hope you have a night pass, otherwise you'll be coming with me.

Santana: What have you done to ??
Soldier: Christ-what?
Howard: Presents! Family! Good will toward Americans!
Soldier: Are you talking about Government-Sanctioned Gift Distribution Day?
Howard: That's it. Santana, grab his stuff. I'll take the legs.

You charge forward and tackle the soldier by his legs, and Santana grabs his pistol and night pass.

Another Soldier: Hey! You! Freeze!
Santana: Cheese it!

You run off with the gun and night pass, slipping through an alleyway. You can hear the group of soldiers running after you! Just then, you hear a voice at the other end of the alleyway. A dark figure, only half-visible in the approaching twilight, beckons to you.

Shady Figure: Come with me if you want to live.
