My plans for Dundee are to develop the research centre (University of Dundee) and basic ground unit production. My coastline is tiny, so I'll leave the Royal Navy to others. I'll put a small RAF airstrip in place just so the boys have somewhere to land if they need it, but I'll leave the actual construction to others.

Question: It would appear that it takes a major amount of production to build a full-strength unit, even for infantry. Is it going to be possible to ship partial units and have them formed into units elsewhere? (i.e. Ten provinces could build 100 infantry each, ship them to London, and the War Minister and/or mayor of London could assemble them into a full strength 1000-member unit?)

I just started out, in Wales somewhere: Merthyr... Tydfil. Like I said, Wales.

Any ideas what I should focus on, or should I just do the missions?

Best start early on is to just make a ton of cement and lumber buildings and upgrade them as fast and as often as possible. Do the missions for bonus resources as you go, but just getting a bunch of cement and lumber buildings out there accelerates your growth quite a bit. Low level buildings are more efficient per resource used early on, so making lots of them can give a quicker return on resources and get you a high resource income faster (less efficient per worker, but that won't matter for at least a week until you have enough buildings to actually use your workers). Once you have a solid cement and lumber income it's much easier to branch out into other production, since everything requires lots of cement and lumber.

Yea, you can do that. The person doing the final recruitment is the one who pays the population and money cost and gets control of the finished unit.

Actually, forget Wales. I've relocated somewhere where things promise to be a bit more exciting. The badly misnamed Algeciras. All you GB suckas better send me troops and ships and planes. Spain looks super well developed.

Um, good luck with that.

It's Gibraltar, It's super important. Though I was just joking about the sending tanks and plans and what not. That'll come naturally later.

The Spanish have a thing about Gibraltar. I have a feeling half of their players will have been playing this game JUST to invade Gibraltar.

Well, we got three weeks to build up troops and you got three weeks to prepare. I guess you'll have to focus on pillboxes and AA guns, with as many ground troops as possible?

I just finished the last of the starting missions. So I'm guessing I'll be waiting a day to fill back up my wood and cement supplies to build a harbor. Maybe a factory or two. Spain looks pretty covered in dragons teeth and ack-ack, so I should probably build some of that too.

So you have a level 20 sawmill and completed that mission huh...
There is a scrollbar.  FYI...

Anyway, I think everyone should try and content at least their city to the edges of their provinces so that we can establish at least a major highway through GB. Rails can come later.

I just put my steel foundries right where I need to build the roads. Stupid me.

Anyway, don't forget to upgrade the roads. Level 1 roads only give a 5% bonus!

WTF Is the point of roads if your Supply Trucks decide to go crosscountry instead of using the ones you have built!!!

You can build roads on a tile that has buildings, just as long as there is no current contruction in progress there.

I think you can place roads in the same spot you build other things like steel mill right?
