Well, Taricus, the problem is I'm gearing up mys teel production, cannot upgrade the roads.

Neyvn: the trucks choose the faster way. Level 1 roads give a 5% bonus, so it easier to go on a roadless plain that a roaded forest for exemple.

Roads are also cheaper and faster to build in plains. So it's actually worth it to build around hills and forests.

Well, it depends. If you need to build on two plains to avoid one forest, it's not worth it. 3 plains for two forest neither mething, but barely so.

majikero first thing is you wont need any roads and I dont think anyone will be attacking you for along time if ever.

Start out by doing the missions they are in the communication tab.

are mines unaffected by terrain? the wiki says nothing about that. I plan to build them on marshes. I plan to build up and take control of south-east asia and rule the pacific!

Coal mines and such I do not think so but I could be wrong.

If you hover over the name of the terrain type of terrain in the tab from the top left hand side icon it gives a short list fo the bonus/penalties.

*Wow I spoke way to soon about you being safe. Why on earth are the lands Netherlands own around Singapore/Malaysia so well deleveloped? Thats just... random and at the same time I only found one road block so far in Russia. Is the fog of war trolling me?

What's the number next to the name in the mission list? Also what does the plain tile look like? I just realize my best farm land is the swamps.

Edit. Netherlands is there because they are colonies during the world wars. How come you Brits aren't developing the India colonies. Heck, no one is developing the British and Portugal lands in China.

You are gyen right?

The number is how much you need to upgrade one of those buildings to win the mission.

Looking around your place swamp is your best farmland as it is with me. But other than that its a good place to start. Some people do not even have one hill thats a far worse problem I think. You can also easily make rubber which they can not in the UK.

We need someone in India I think now connect the Empire up better.

I think as a basic rule only the UK can afford to build research we need to focus on other things in the colonies?

You should, at the very least have some resources there.

Can I run multiple provinces?

The way the game is, it requires a lot of people to develop anything. Each person only gets 1 province at start, with up to 3 max. And the only way to get the other 2 is to conquer them, because the president of a country apparently can't give unclaimed lands in the same country out to people.

So, those hundreds of provinces in India? We need is a few hundred new players to join Britain to do anything with them.

It takes 50 to unlock a country, or 70% of the total provinces claimed if it's less than 50.

As far as getting a president, I think just two players could have that by one voting for the other heh. I don't think the president can do much without the country being activated though.

We only need 3 or 4 people in india if they run 9-12 province that would be pretty powerfull. Anyway in my mind we just need small out posts to hold out untill our navy arrives.
Maybe unrealistic but its just a game nothing to lose and its more fun to try. I mean we can not ignore the empire much longer, land in the UK is running out.
