I have 25 lumber and 27 cement buildings right now, plan is to replace 5 of the lumber and 6 of the cement eventually with other useful buildings like ammo factory, fuel refinery, maybe some rubber.
My production was over 70k/hr on both lumber and cement last I checked, and I had a bunch of upgrades going. Can't login right now (I guess it's temporarily down?) but I'll probably be around 80k now since the upgrades should be finished. My current project is upgrading my city to get more people. I have a bit over 15k people right now, and over 10k of them are workers with the rest doing construction. I started with about 14k though, and got 600 from missions. The rest are from my city production, I've been upgrading it as I went along.
First impressions:
- Geez that world map is huge
- Looks interesting. Loads of research and units it seems
- Seems not too time-intensive. I.e. I can combine this with my job. Too bad my workplace servers don't allow access to most of the net
- did I mention that the world map is huge?
- Hmm it seems the server crashed
Anyways, I've claimed Belfast, and like to offer my services to the Greater British Good. I intend to build ships. I have already built a harbor and shipyard. I suppose I'll be needing tons of rescources (steel, wood, rare metals and rubber. And fuel. And money.). In return, I will supply the fleet with ships.
Speaking of military matters.. Does every player control only it's own units, or does the command structure under the army window allow for players using any unit assigned to them? I hope for the latter. I would, for example, gladly cede control of any ship I build to a confident admiral, yet command a squad of fighters (built by other players), to protect my own city and docks from bombers).
I haven't looked into it thoroughly, but from what I got from skimming the wiki a while back I think you get permanent direct control over all the units you recruit. The Minister of War can control everyone's units in the country as well, and I think you might be able to assign other people control over your units too but im not sure on that. The wiki probably has that info, but it's down right now too hehe.
You can also manufacture units and ship them to other people to launch them though. Not sure how (or if) that works with ships, but you could for instance build a bunch of tanks and transport them by railroad to your neighbor, who then pays the money and population costs to deploy the tanks.
