@filiusenox: Maybe, maybe not. I have 6 7 approved character sheets and am excepting 5-6 players at most. If someone is unable to play due to timing issues, you can probably get in, but otherwise not.

How do the following times sound to people?

Thursdays at 1900 GMT (ie. 3:00 PM EST)
Fridays at 2130 GMT (ie. 5:30 PM EST)
Sundays at 1700 GMT (ie. 1:00 PM EST)
E: I can also do
Saturdays at 1700 GMT (ie. 1:00 PM EST)
if people prefer that.

I can only do Thursday this week but I can do any of those on subsequent weeks.  It wouldn't be the end of the world if I miss the first week though since I wouldn't have as much to contribute in deciding on a powered ship design as with a sailing ship.

I finished my sheet. She's been posted earlier, but Matisa the Wanderer.

So far this game is 2/2 in character backstories involving born on a ship.

Sundays at 1700 GMT (ie. 1:00 PM EST)

These are probably the only ones I could make consistently. Thursdays and Fridays would only be every other week for me for a while.

I was tempted to take Nymph's Kiss, but that would need me to be Exalted, which is kinda bleh, but it's an awesome gateway to great roleplaying.

I prefer either of these two.

Sundays at 1700 GMT (ie. 1:00 PM EST)
Saturdays at 1700 GMT (ie. 1:00 PM EST)

And Fool, I have absolutely no idea of what to do in the first place. The closest to this stuff that I have ever done is NWN2, and it handles this for you automatically. Just tell me what you need, and I'll give it to you.

I'd like Friday, because it would mean my homework is done for the week and I can focus on D&D.

I wouldn't want Thursday because it is the busiest day of the week at work, but I could in theory. If either Thursday or Sunday is chosen I can't promise anything for the first two weeks, but Sunday is normally free.

@RedWarrior0: Exalted just means that you have to be good and not willingly do anything evil. Depending on who you are that may work.

@Zako: I'll PM you what you need to start a sheet.

Nemesis Saberhawk is just about done, just have a few hundred gold to burn and final mantle/power selection. All the powers will be from Complete Psionics or the XPH, so nothing too crazy there. Still writing the backstory.

Grek, if you don't mind, I'd like an exact reason as to what is wrong with the Awakened Cat.
It's not core, but it's all freely available stuff.

Awaken Spell
Cat
Ability adjustments gotten from subtracting 10 or 11 from the SRD figures.
Next I compared it to other similar monsters turned into PCs, and dropped the Hit Dice added to it in exchange for Cleric Levels. This might be where the problem is? With 3 being the max level, and ECL being Hit dice plus Level Adjustment plus any class levels, that would make it a cat without any use to the party at all for another level. While establishing the RP would be fun for a few sessions, it could easily tick players off. Something tells me this wasn't where the problem was though.

Anyway, On to understanding your information here...

Okay, so, contingent on being correct, and that you continue to refuse Mister Puffins (Whom I really, really like), here's my thoughts on another possible character.
A Troll Samurai from Dramscrag. The problem with this one is that it's a +5 LA. Therefore this character cannot easily be done, and will require doing monster advancement as covered in Savage Species. This would be something that I could play. I imagine it could be some trollish variant that isn't as strong as a full troll, but being a troll would be critical to the RP as I see it.

Dude, its a cat. On an adventure in an underground ocean. It can talk and cast magic, but still, it's a cat. I seriously dout that any crew will even let it on the ship as part of the crew, let alone take it seriously.

Also, how do you save these sheets on myth weavers?

Could it be you want to play a freaking cat?

@Kogan: My objections to playing an awakened cat are fourfold: A] it doesn't make sense RP-wise for an awakened animal to be chosen for this mission, B] the backstory that the cat was accidentally hit with Awaken, a spell takes 24 hours to cast and has a range of touch, is just silly, C] even if I could bring myself to take the character concept seriously, the charater's goals to "overthrow the system" and put cats in charge would conflict with the premise of this campaign, which is to go exploring in the ocean and D] perhaps most importantly, awakened cats don't have opposable thumbs. There is a time and a place for silly characters and playing awakened cats named "Mister Puffins". This isn't it.

Playing a troll is indeed problematic. However, you may play an adolescent troll:

So. Offical relationships between Elfs and halflings seems a bit rocky. What do the respective citizens think about it?
