Also current plan of mine is to build an entrance fort.  Anyone wishing to come into the fortress proper is first drafted, and sent to fight a naked goblin.  If they kill it, they're in.  If they zip across the room at lightning speed, rip its heart out and eat it before throwing the body against the wall, then they're promoted to nobility.  Because really.  Vampire Baron.

That, or every migrant wave stays locked in a room for a year.  Surely when they're all looking at each other constantly, they'll notice that Urist McPale is eating UristMcBecomingPaler.  I look forward to the community stories about the quarantine room.

When it comes to quarantines, doors, dwarfs and !!BIOLOGY!! tests (normally concerning dwarves), I tend to smile.
(Sometimes I deliberately release FB's in the middle of my farms;)

Plus, I think it would be hilarious if ater the discovery of a vampire, it would say it's preference... Of food.
