Indestructible armor is pretty rare, best I've seen is chainmail so far. Also, do you ever see indestructible longswords? I guess those are high-demand items.

The economy aspects of this game are a joke. If it was supply-demand then more of the decent items would get made. It seems to me there's plenty of money to buy the good items but you just can't find the good items you want. I think the problem is that "indestructible" accidentally means "infinitely upgradeable" and makes all the other magical items almost worthless in comparison.

Essentially yes.  It's an economy of item scarcity, with indestructibles and god-like blacksmiths being highly valuable.  But there may be an emergent economy where gold is the liquid currency used to deal in high-value artifacts.

I've got an indestructible leather armor.  I'll probably end up giving it to an archer using an indestructible longbow, and take him solo'ing around at high level, eventually.  I wonder what other sort of equipment would help...  Rings of all resistance and amulet of 'cast heal'?

When you set a character as a mayor, can they continue gaining exp somehow?  Do like, in-city barracks aid them?

They gain exp from the in-city barracks and a smaller amount from being mayor.

Yeah, THAT is an amazing weapon.  Halberds are just better weapons, they have higher attack and damage than anything else, in either category.  No balance tradeoff, they're just better, and they get no back rank penalty.  I've been getting 50 damage hits on things like wraiths using mine.

I'm still offering to afford ridiculously overpriced, gougingly high trade values...  I'm sitting on about 50,000 right now.

Is this game abandoned or something? I went to the forums to see a lot of spam filled virus/spyware topics with porn and random shit in the threads.

Last news update was way back in 2013 too. But, going to the forums to see a bunch of spyware/virus bots isn't very nice.

They stand in place and attack monsters that wander in.  At higher level you can build structures to help defend them, starting with a tower and adding runes and upgrades to make it more durable and give your guys buffs in combat.  They do recover spells and they properly do end-of-day calculations.  You can also set a flee rule for what percentage of health is reasonable and set spells to auto-cast.

I don't know what happens if your garrison is wiped.  I had mine wiped, and now my list of characters under the 'party' screen is bugged.  I got a message a few days later that one of my characters had been brought back to the nearby town's morgue.  I assume I can go pick them up, but it really doesn't interest me a ton at this point.

You can additionally built a market and barracks on a garrison, which will give gold and exp daily, though not much, and you have to go back to pick up the gold.  However, you should really utilize them when you can drop some cash into upgrades, as it seems relatively easy for high level players to wipe you.  The defender can utilize defensive wards though, which are produced only with money, so they're easy to install.
