Alright, I made my way south, was a quick journey actually.

46, 86 is Evershield, a Free city with 83 prosperity, good weapons, tons of gems, mid-level shields, a good blacksmith, currently a whopping 8 available quests, and more.

I WANT this city. Lets take it, for the glory of the Twelve Bays! Its by far the highest prosperity I've seen in-game so far, has 4-5 great stores, and is in a prime southern location. PERFECT!

Staberinde is trying to take it from the east, Time from the west. Funny, actually, seeing their territories converge on this city yet no one has taken it yet. It truly is a gem to behold.

Lets mark the rise of the Dwarven Empire by snatching from beneath their puny Elvish hands ;D

To the west of Evershield is the kingdom of time. If you need healing, use their services- a handful of cities are 90+ prosperity, and will offer full healing for under a hundred gold. I also found Carpabbey- it's a free city, but it's in the heart of the Kingdom of Time.

It seems dungeon chests reset daily....

Just found like 10 special weapons after entering this dungeon for the 10th time (last 8 were to near party wipes early)

I'm still at waxchannel, but I can prolly hold off until after you get it. Need to level a bit to be able to even run for elections anyway. :P

is waxchannel near there, incidentally? I can get co-ords if you need them.

EDIT: Also, this thread is linked in the "bay 12 has arrived" thread on their forums so we should figure out some other place to discuss these things.

Just picked up a level 2 mage, goes by the name of Eindridi Macebreaker. Originally belonged to a group called The Purple Mushroom's. That wouldn't be one of you guys, would it?

Also he is totally getting his named changed to a real dwarven name, though: Amud Ogokab. Might put a Alnis or Nokzam before the Og as well since the dwarven language does not include mace for some reason and I had to substitute it with "club". "War-/Battle-club" is much more appropriate, no?

edit: Is there any way to create more than the first five characters yourself? Or can you just add more by buying them?

You recruit/buy more til you hit 8 :)

Makes you stronger, you you level up much slower because there are that many more people to split XP gain between.

I had a great idea actually, and I'm pretty sure experienced players do this.

Once you join a kingdom, which I did for the hell of it, (the red one), you can set up garrisons in friendly and apparently enemy territory. If you buy a few characters and leave them garrisoned, rather than do nothing they'll protect your territory as well as randomly fight wildlife once in a while. If they're well-equipped, they may even beat the ass of some newbish player who thinks they can take it on. :P This is a great way to power up team members while you're off with a full party somewhere. Just put the ones you have on the street in a city, buy more, then go outside, put the new guys in a garrison, and go pick back up your real squadmembers.

I'm still figuring out what garrisons are actually for, though. I suspect they have something to do with helping against raids, or raising prosperity or some such. *shrug*

Thought I should share this. As a member of Starberinde, or whatever the red kingdom's called, I get to see their communication. According to this, their leader will be absent til the end of October, giving one less power player to stall our growth. :)

Converge at the above-mentioned city. There are many cities around us, some small some big. I will be taking as many as I can to start our kingdom. Anyone who wants to do the same, go ahead. We can easily demote all the guards and disarm the mayor so one person can conquer the city and have them form a kingdom.

Personally, I am planning to form a bay12 kingdom of my own. Its my opinion we should have 2-3 Bay12 kingdoms, two obvious Bay12 references and one not, for a more stealthy approach where we can use diplomacy to get in a kingdom's pants before charging in with the other 2 kingdoms. :P

EDIT:

...I also get to see their city manifests and who's in the kingdom. Very few people. o_O We will EASILY outnumber them. Its TIME I'm worried about. Right now, Time appears to be gobbling up the red territory, and some new brown 'Oddity' kingdom has sprung up in the northeast where I spawned.

Red kingdom's roster and capitol(we should conquer that in the future):

The Capitol City of The Kingdom of Staberinde is:Hopestage (48, 10) 93 Blunt Hogger, Mayor of Hopestage
Mayor's Party: The Freedom To Buzz Party !!!

i went in a dungeon to grab an artifact to obtain 1250 gold.
i had 680 turns.
i emerged from the dungeon with my party members 3 level higher (from 3 to 6) with 8000+ gold earned in the dungeon, and 40 turns. i still reached back to town and finished quest and earned stuff for 2000k+ more. then spent things on repairing blacksmith and now at 7000+ k.
i used a portal to end up at the third level of the dungeon for the quest, ended up in THREE treasure rooms, fought off groups of hypnotic slimes, wererats, gargoyles, hell hounds and worse.

...
And nobody of my team died.
even though i finished arrows and all my weapons broke (had to resort to un-modified weaponry found in the dungeon crawls).
tomorrow, i'll do it again. XD

o_O Keep the extra weapons as backups :P Also, give extra ammo to even non-archers so you'll have some extras laying around for when you need it. ;)
