Tentatively in as "Legless Jack's Dwarfhumpers". Haven't hit level two yet and have semi-spotting internet access, but eh. Will see if it goes anywhere~

Got a pwipe on purpose. Going to be remaking my team. I was going to name it after some dorfs, but this computer can't run DF for some reason...

"Smoketower's Finest" is now heading towards 44,93.

EDIT: I've arrived. I'm going to go to the nearest city, since I can't do anything with your garrison.

If anyone's near Valiantsands there's a level 1 dungeon at 48,25. Ogres, minotaurs and such. Seemed doable at level 3, if you're careful and there's good gold and xp to be had.

Been playing around with this a little bit. My first party lost its mage and priest when I went in the wilderness and got jumped by giant wolves, and I hadn't caught on yet that you could revive so I wound up burying them. Then when I realized I could have just ressed them and that all the adventurers in the recruitment sucked I restarted.

My little party of 4 archers and a priest (also using ranged) are doing well, they're all level 4. I had my heart set on a dwarven sniper squad with crossbows, but I'm disappointed that I can't find any crossbows in the shops around here (visited 5 towns so far, bolts but no crossbows). So I've settled with using longbows that I spent money upgrading the damage of (to 11, 11, 11, 13, and 14). Not quite sure how a blacksmith upgraded a wooden bow, but if it works it works.

I keep finding platemail in chests, so 3 of my guys are in plate and the other two are in scale mail. So far none of them have died, the priest has proven much sturdier than my old one (probably due to her having plate, heh).

I named all my characters and party with a Dwarf Fortress theme. All my dwarves are named after random DF dwarven names from one of my forts that sounded good without translation. I have:
Nil Berosod - Hammer Earthbones - the dwarf archer, male
Athel Kersodel - Ring Eyeshield -  the dwarf archer, female
Fath Istamkel - Sack Lightmetal - the dwarf archer, male
Ustuth Dakonkel - Fence Omenmetal - the dwarf archer, male
Rith Emenaroth - Bell Strongmagic - the dwarf priest, female

Party name is "Etar Udos", which was the random name of one of my old DF groups when making a fort. It could mean one of: King Man, King Men, King the Men, Kings of Men, Kings the Man, etc (apparently dwarvish is very complex, and the exact same phrase can mean many things, lol). The actual group's name in the DF game I based it on was Kings of Men, so I guess thats what it means in this context.

I totally need to conquer a kingdom to live up to my party name now.

Hey all, joined as "Aurea Clan", at Kingspile @ 86, 61 :) My sewer is ridiculous, keep getting jumped by groups of 8-9 rats, ferrets, and such. Lost my mage, fool had only 4 hp and was damn near useless. Down to my priest, archer, and 2 warriors.

MIGHT restart as 2 warrior 2 archer 1 priest combo. Maybe.

I'd be interesting in starting a kingdom with you all. A DWARVEN kingdom. From Bay12 of course. ;)

I stopped into a small town on my way to a BIG Dungeon Run (Quest). Decide to head down their sewers for a few bits of free cash and stuff. My Priest's Mace broke sadly and she was near useless cause no one was taking any damage at all. Found the path to go further down, and found a chest. I open it up...

Full Plate Mail, +2 to Rodent Killing BattleAxe and a Longsword...
Guess who is joining my warriors on the frontlines...

Hey, I see you're on Shadow :) Hover clicker over the top right and it'll show the active groups. I restarted in the absolute upper-right corner with a new party and am doing much better. Even found a chest in the sewers with !!splintmail!!, which gives a whopping 12 defense. :D

I've got 13 referrals going so far and Mutant told me they give 250 turns each when the referred party has taken 1000 turns, so I'm hoping these guys pan out :)

Should we start posting on the game forums about our intentions to found a new empire? Forums seem somewhat dead so it might liven them up a bit

I'm running the group 'Dark Omen' in the extreme northwest at the moment. I buried my mage and hired a new archer to take her place... he's doing far better. I'll be interested in joining the Bay12Empire once it gets off the ground, and will be busy with leveling and exploring until then.

Aye, for now lets all explore, expand, and level up. In time, when we've got sufficient influence and power, we'll take over the world one city at a time ;)

We can do so in the south where there are no kingdoms, like a number of folk did. That whole southern stretch of the world is NEUTRAL, which just means its RIPE for the taking!

I'm currently level 7, heading to start up the Kingdom of Dwarves, or something. You guys aren't giving me any ideas for a bay12 communal kingdom name here D:....

Kingdom of Bay12, mayhap. Simple, and it tells people who we are <3.

Personally, I'd like something a bit more "in-character", maybe something like Kingdom Of Twelve Bays?
