The last statue is of the seven dwarves whom founded this forsaken hole.  So my entryway is set with four green glass statues.

Now: time to pave the roads with gold, make gold doors and gold furniture and rip up half of the game world for gems to decorate said bling with.

You can probably guess i get harassed by sieges and beasts more than i should.

Actually I prefer microcline roads, myself.  I actually use them to prevent fungus trees from growing in places of high traffic taht aren't stone floor.

I know it's cheating, but I'm sorely tempted to just dig down to the magma layer to unlock magma buildings, and then use dfhack's liquids function to create a magma reservoir under my smeltery and refinery area.

Lol, was reading Demon Knight #1 from DC's relaunch.  "Nothing terrible HAS to happen."  "Bollocks!"

Somehow that seems to apply distinctly to Dwarf Fortress...

Also:  "DIE TASTY RARE CREATURES!"

Poor outpost liason.  He's kinda annoyed at being drug around while my expedition leader is killing wolves,  werewolves, and badgers.

Dwarf takes over a jeweler's workshop, so I'll probably get a useless artifact.

Ooh, elves!  Let's see how much my massive stockpile of logs they have to crawl over to get to my trade depot pisses them off.

I plan on it.  But only after I offer them wood items.

Gonna break so I can go play Supreme Commander.

Which probably explains why I was able to organize a dwarf fort so easily despite being new, heh.

...I initially read that as Supreme Ruler, which had me all impressed.  Then I was disappoint.

(I picked up SR2020 Gold and Hearts of Iron III recently-- I've been playing too much HoI3 to figure out exactly how to play SR2020...)

WWII games aren't really my style.  Played too many of them.

SupCom however requires a sound understanding of economics of production and resource usage to play, because of its real-time "flow" style economy.  Its sequel dropped taht though :\

Stupified the tech tree too.

It had its good sides though.  Its research tree was nice, for example, I always enjoyed the cybran end-game-- produce a fully upgraded walking naval fleet.  Teleporting and jumping troops were also nice.

But I miss the flow economy and the variety of units the four tiers provided :\

That said, let's talk about minecraft.  I'm going to try to expand this wooden building to at least five z-levels up, make myself a nice tower of wood with which to signal to the elves "come at me bro".
