Couth breaches the surface, wheezing for breath.

*taps Falcata on the shoulder*

"Wh-what just happened?" Couth gasps. "forget it, more important question, can I go home and bilge the rest of the sewer water out of my stomach?"

Falcata looks back to Couth and says, "I, uh... no. Not yet.  Let's go speak to the duchess first, she'll decide that."  Although what the alternative was, she wasn't sure.  Nopony was going back to the jail for a while.

((Guys, I was just wondering...what if we did an intermission until Khenal gets all settled from moving? We could go back in time and work on the backstory of our characters in the past. We could see how Psycho died the very first time, how Starkey gained all his fighting experience, Friesden's life as a filly...think about it!))

Trust me, you don't want to see Friesden's life as a filly, and I don't want to write it.

Suffice it to say, her father was an evil pony, and fully deserved what he got given.

"Silly pony! That's clean water for showers!" Couth mocked in a high pitched voice with derision.

"cute filly, who's-" Couth stopped. he just had an awful thought.

"It can't be Khenal and Friesden's filly can it?" he shudders.

Just getting on for a moment before bed.  I have an idea for Khenal's absence, at least for a bit:  The mirror Carrot broke was important.  Khenal is going to be just this side of catatonic for a bit.  He wont starve or dehydrate, but neither will he really react to anything.

((That does sound interesting.  I do at least have a reason for Falcata being banished to Glitterglen thought up.  Agreed with Dsarker though, I imagine if much of Friesden's past was put to text, Toady would come down on this thread with his wrath.

Anyway, this feels like a reasonably good place for me to leave off.  I'm pretty beat, and it looks like we're kind of waiting on KingStrongbeard for Charity to flip out on Carrot and perform sentencing.  Falcata's involvement is pretty much concluded at this point.  If you guys want to continue on, anyone can take over for Falcata if she's needed.)

Falcata continued to plod along back toward the makeshift and now quite damp courtroom.  She was too tired to really think about what she was supposed to do now, and was content on letting either Captain Isos or Duchess Charity take care of that for her.  She needed to inform them about the flooded jail and now freed prisoners at any rate.

The events of the past few minutes flooded back to her as if they had taken hours.  Perhaps she really had misjudged Friesden.  She would definitely attest to her selflessness.  If Friesden hadn't thought of the prisoners or come to their aid, Falcata had no doubt they would have drowned.  She couldn't have saved them alone, had she even thought to come for them.

For the first time, she began to question if Friesden deserved what felt inevitable at this point.

Okay. Here's Friesden's time as a filly.

She was possessed by a daemon and raped by her father multiple times.

The end.

((I think we should RP the scene, kind of like an interlude. Have everyone sitting hown for dinner or somesuch, and they wind up chatting about the past. I already explained how he got banished, but Starkey could use a bit more backstory than that.))

If we do do that, I'm going to want to pick a new pony for that. I'm sort of thinking of playing a Ciaphas Cain, HERO OF THE IMPERIUM! type character.
