[The Master]

The bubble bursts.

[DVNO]

when the bubble bursts Couth starts to doggy-paddle to the surface and poor Niclota Tesla, unconscious, burned, and all four legs broken, starts to sink.

[Telgin]

The damage was done.  She could feel that her energy was gone, and there was nothing she could do.  She fought to the last to keep the bubble up, but the struggle was in vain.

"No, no, no!", she exclaims as the magic vanishes, surrounding the four in foam and water.   She looks around frantically, seeing that they made it to the stairwell at least.  She hoped her breath would last long enough to make it out.

She looks back to see Couth swiming for himself, but Nicolta is still unconscious.  She languishes, trying to decide if she should try and carry him or save herself.  Then Friesden's words come back to her, and she motions at him to Friesden.  Trying to be the hero here would likely just get the both of them killed.

[Dsarker]

'Oh, goody.'


Friesden grabs the sinking Nicolta and starts toward the surface.

[The Master]

The water finally stops filling the chamber, and it's filled up all the way to the roof, making the stairs the only place with air.

[Telgin]

Falcata breaches the surface of the water in the stairwell, gasping for air.  She coughs and spits the water from her mouth as she waits for the others to join her.  She turns to face Friesden, sees that Nicolta is safe and says, "Thank you.  I... I can't swim very well, he would have just dragged me down."

((Falling asleep here... gonna have to go in a minute I'm afraid))

[The Master]

"..Hey, wait, guys, I'M COOOOOOOOOMING!!!" Yells the late filly, jumping off of the stairwell and into the water.

[Dsarker]

"It's okay, friend. It's very difficult to be strong all the time. Let's get you up those stairs and somewhere dry."

[The Master]

The filly spits out water and grins. "Ha ha! That was FUN!"

[Dsarker]

"Indeed, Carrot. Let's see about not letting you get killed again, shall we?"

[The Master]

"Yeah! I enjoy growing up again! IT'S SOOOOOO FUN!!!!"

Falcata glances at the new arrival and thinks back to the trial.  Was this filly really being controlled by Captain Carrot's spirit?

"Uh, right," she says to the filly.  "We should be getting back upstairs.  Dr. Bubbles may need to look at Nicolta."

She takes several uneasy steps up the stairs, utter exhaustion setting in.

"Perhaps I've misjudged you, Friesden," she says in a low voice.

[Dsarker]

"Indeed. Carrot, mind helping the guard up the stairs? I'll take Nicolta up."

Friesden slings Nicolta onto her back and starts trudging up the stairs.

[The Master]

"Uhh...I do what now?" Says the filly, looking at the guard.
"I...but...oh...Let's go."
