Oh hell yes. I'll see if I can make my own walking sprite set later. Any colour limitations?

Nah. The only limitation is that it has to be 16x32. Actually... it doesn't even have to be that, but that makes it easier for me.

The walking sprites were done in a hurry but I'll fix them up later.

More progress on the walkaround engine! Click here to test it out. You can control Mimi with up, down, left and right. Despite the earlier in-engine mock-up, the dialogue part is barely even started.

Shading on the sprites would be much appricated, but other then that its looking good so far!

DA's voice is incredulous in his response. He says that that's crazy. It makes no sense. He agrees that, as bitches go, there are none bigger, but... She's practically invincible. It'd be easier to kill her than get rid of her in any case. So long as she holds the ring.

Hey guys, guess what I'm working on?

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

AWESOME.

Oh, heads up, I'm going to be in Ohio this weekend, instead of home, so I won't have reliable internet. I will have my laptop though, so there may be some posting. Possibly.

I'll work on walking sprites for Alex (confident in success!) and also some from scratch talking sprites for him (eeeeehhh....)

I think the sprite should change while moving diagonally. Right now she just kind of slides.

I guess I'll try to make walking sprites? I suck though.

Don't worry Blade, I can do your talking sprites. I could do the walking ones too, but they take far longer. Just imagine a day when you could snap your fingers - *snap* "Freeform. Flash. Now." - and your wishes would come true.

From now on I'll put updates about the walkaround engine in spoilers so as to not distract from the main game.

Yeah, I haven't figured out how to get around this one yet. I call the animation code and the movement code at approximately the same time, so right now moving diagonally is just constantly flipping back and forth between vertical and horizontal. I think I'll take diagonal movement out entirely, actually.

EDIT: Added more flash stuff.

Add a logic argument that says if both buttons are held then show one specific sprite. It will make things look better. Well... Assuming you're doing the coding.

Yeah, I figured it out. You can see the results in the link there.

Anyway, I'm back to the boring part of the coding now, so I'll put another update about it tomorrow unless I get something awesome working. Carry on.

EDIT: I just now saw my critical mistake with her back sprite. WHOOPS. Fix it later.

EDIT2: FLASH STUFF!

EDIT3: Finally fixed the hair.

Spoiler: I'm finally d00ne (click to show/hide)
These ones are pretty large (even though I resized them to 25%; they were originally 4000x3000) because we're doing stuff with cameras in art class and checked out cameras to bring home for a few weeks, and I took advantage of that because this drawing fills out the whole page, and it's both easier AND higher quality. I could reupload any of the other drawings in glorious HD if anyone wants; it'd take like a minute. (Also it'd boost my ego to know people wanna see them again in better quality)

If anyone has any more requests, I may take them on since I can't be inspired to ome up with something new and different from my other drawings 100% of the time. (In fact this is the reason I asked for suggestions on how to draw Troy.) Maybe even digitally, who knows.
