The actual Dosbox program, not the folder

Okay, working so far, it says SHADOW.Exe in Dosbox, the actual program.   How do I run it?  I really appreciate the help, by the way.

Do you know that you can press numbers to speed it up? I think "5" makes it go one day a second. The tutorial doesn't make mention of it, and I only discovered it on accident.
I know that, it's still too slow, aveyoua, because, best case, I have to click to send multiples of a single action (because it is the most effective pratice), and then click to re-authorize each one, and you have that screen that pops up showing the result of each individual action, which takes some time to digest. That's best case because I also have to pause and constantly re-examine the world and consult the Cabinet. And you don't want the game to go too fast, otherwise you may miss certain important news updates and have to check the Press Secretary (assuming she didn't quit in this run).

What save do you want? The one from my first, second (second was the longest) or third one?
If I (or anyone else) do it, I'll select Third.

I think DosBox supports a turbo key combination that allows quick skipping of those animation screens.

Just had a very fun run of Shadow President: Angel of Death Scenario.  I began by invading Mexico.  With some assistance from the UK, I conquered it.  For some reason, this pissed off the Soviets, and they pressed the BUTTON.  But not at me.  For some reason, they nuked China, and the two Nuclear superpowers began striking and parrying using nukes.  I nuked both countries, to see if I could finish them off. The soviets were pretty crippled ( Poland condemned them and the Soviets did nothing ) but China was still alive, albeit very injured.  I think they managed to nuke me once, just once.  The Soviets then got into a war with the UK, the two countries nuking each other back and forth.  I got a few assassination attempts ( all of them failed ) some lesser countries came to me with peace delegations ( I accepted them ) and I managed to coup China.  Hoping to do the same to the Soviets right now.

Yes...now, how do you save the game? ;)
Buttons on bottom-right, rightmost one called "System menu" or something like that. Select it.

Press "Save a world to disk", Press "Do It", select a slot, Press "Do It", enter a name, and press Enter.

There, it should be saved.

Indeed it was. I'm happy to say that my best Shadow President experiences were with Bay12.

Here's some goals. I haven't played for a long time, so I'm not sure how easy these will be to do, but regardless let's do them. They do not need to be completed in order.

1: Take over Canada and Mexico WITHOUT getting nuked by anyone but them. Bonus points for not getting nuked at all.

2: Get SOMEONE ELSE nuked while we laugh unharmed.

3: Get China's government to collapse. Use only covert ops.

1. Canada and Mexico don't have nukes.

2. Mutually Assured Destruction.

3. Our ethic will cry in a corner while everyone hates us.

2. Mutually Assured Destruction.
I've had the UK nuke Falklands and nobody used nukes afterwards as far as I remember. So it's certainly possible.

3. Our ethic will cry in a corner while everyone hates us.
We're dwarves, you're saying this is new?
