I found a glitch a while back. If you take over a country and quickly get all of your troops out of the country, your popularity comes back in about 3 to 9 ingame days.

Ok, because I'm sick of waiting, and even I want to dominate the SP world, it's time to play! Just a question, though. How do I take screenshots in DosBox?

I'm glad this is being resurrected.  May I make a small challenge suggestion?

Use only covert ops and direct invasion.  No diplomacy, no nukes.  Have any of you played the Metal Gear Solid series? If you have, you'd know about the Patriots, the secret organization that ruled the U.S. behind the scenes.  They used espionage, and standard military operations in order to disrupt and destroy other countries. 

Can this be done?  Is it too easy?

Hehehe. My last world domination run was nearly won in under a year by doing this stuff. Then I got a virus :(

Errr... Does anybody remember the method I had for making Dosbox stop fucking up when using it in fullscreen?

I'll start posting screenshots late tommorow.

Ehh, I don't think there are any other threads on this forum for this game as far as I can tell, so I wouldn't blame you. If you ever have any more problems, just PM someone instead if you're worried about it.

Yeah. So many nukes were launched in that game. So many that it fucked the game up, making colours move around randomly for about 8 minutes before I could play it again. Ok, I'm installing OpenGL now. Shouldn't be long before I can start screenshotting

WTF, OpenGL? You say you can't run on my computer, yet you ran FUCKING FINE last time I installed you. Fuck, I'm going to have to just run this without fullscreen. Sorry.

[edit] It appears as if I've fixed the issue of massive graphical corruption. Screenshots are being uploaded.

Well, those countries were "allies with you" and "neutral but on your door step", respectively. Really, this is the kind of behavior the Soviet administration has probably been expecting for a while now. Of course, now that we are the glorious United States of Greater North America (USGNA), the Soviet Union will probably be getting a little nervous.

Come to think of it, what does taking over nations even do for you, gameplay wise?

Gives you more money, a (much) higher growth and I think it makes the effect of nukes a bit less dangerous. Also, it gives you more soldiers.
