kradidark:  According to here, you're also going to need a CAO account.

The top of my 0.9 options file currently reads:

No problem going to play on CAO (same nick) until 0.9 is released on CDO, hopefully it doesn't lag too bad.

Yeah I'm not having great starting games either. But I'm determined to get at least one win before this tournament is over no matter how many games (or fighters) I need to play to get it.

I set the soaper team up on the trunk, now I've set it up again on 0.9 CAO. Do I need to set the team up on CDO too, or just CAO?

Also, I have bowel problems today so I might not be playing as much as I'd like.

E: Can anyone who is using a different name to their B12 name in Soapers other than phantomspaceman PM me? I've used your B12 names, as listed on the first post, aside from phantom's.

For some reason the clans page says there's only me and nistenf in the Soapers team.

If you're new to 0.9, be very careful of catoblepas, especially if you are a low-HP/AC high-EV character. Their breath ignores EV (AFAIK,) does significant damage, and turns you to stone.

you need to move out of the petrifying cloud. as long as you only stay there for one turn it has no effect. (this was valid when they were introduced a few weeks ago, they may have changed some.)

Yes, AFAIK that is still true; if you are a low-HP character, I'd be more worried about the undodgeable, unblockable 20 damage (the new smite?) which occurs each time it hits you, though I think it is reduced by AC.

Edit: on the bright side, catoblepas move slower than you (unless you are a naga,) so can be relatively easily avoided.

Duuvian, would you rather be a Mason or an Engraver? There's one slot left in Masons - most of them have gotten 2-3 runes or been to the bottom of Elf or Vaults. I just created the Engravers as a slightly lower-intermediate team.

I added everyone else to teams - welcome everyone! We are up to 10 teams if you count the ones that aren't fleshed out yet. Seems we will have more people joining soon. I'm running out of team names... I figured if we start another Advanced/Expert team they could be something badass like the Axedwarves. Maybe another high-intermediate team could be the Militia. I think we will need more beginner teams.

Add me to the second lowest setting or whatever is available.

First game i started as a DeWi and just made it to the lair with several spellbooks and goodies. plus i found a staff that gives me MP when i evoke it. goal for today is to clear the lair.

kradidark:  Yep, that's all it needs.  You can tell it worked by looking here.  Also, the current CDO 'trunk' is actually 0.9 and does count for the tourny, so you can play on there if you want.

UGH! i spelt captain wrong, i hope my game is still good for the tourney, will i need to restart a new game? that would be really maddening, almost done clearing the lair.
