Wel, we never expected to be on steam before the game would have been finished, so if valve comes up and says, you have a go, get it on steam, i am really not sure we will do it right away. we prefer to further progress the game, at least until all the features we plan for it are in.

Which is why I always believe in you and your team. Cheers!

This may sound dumb, but how do you see the ranking?  (Or all you guessing that the people making minecraft comments are down voting?)

there was a percentage showing the visitor/voters ratio from which you can guesstimate down votes, but it seems it is gone now.

Lot of people seem to guess that, but since we know our up/down vote ratio was (maybe still is) good, i don't think those % of "minecraft clone" comments represented the community votes.

Well crap. I just finished exploring the spider level, and halfway thru the goblin level, and haven't yet found a single iron block.

I just keep generating these maps and have never seen a single surface iron block either.

Using 0.50b by the way.

I'm going to have to scrap this latest savegame.

Also, cactus doesn't seem to reproduce at all, they're all gone by the end of the first month, before I had a chance to plant one. I guess my priority should be to get at least one planted tree from each fruit plant even if it means a suicide rush, heh.

Is there a way to rotate items your placing? I put down some stairs but I'm assuming they are the wrong angle as people seem to be able to go up but not back down them.

Edit: from the towns forum it looks like direction doesn't matter (just aesthetic) so I guess its some other reason they are just standing on that wall looking silly... :/

Rotating items will be added in the near future.

Hmm, can you show me a picture? i never encountered such a thing (townies being able to go up but not down)

Sergius - drop by our forums, there are already few mods that give a higher chance for surface iron.

I did, but I had mixed feelings about changing the rules of the game...

I was about to look for a mod, but my internet died for a few hours and eventually I was able to generate a mixed map with surface iron. Now, I just have to search the spider level for coal :P

Weird; It seems despite Desura claiming to support all three, and having OS X games up there, the OS X client isn't finished.

Edit: Clarification, Towns has support for all three of course

Hello,

yes, Desura doesn't have a Mac client but you can download the standalone file (a zipped file) with the game. Unzip it and play.
Here a video of how to do it:
