"Guys, calm down. We don't even know for sure these guys are pirates yet. Even if they are, our boat is perfectly capable of taking then, I'm sure. And none would be so foolish to attack us and incur the wrath of the Shapers. We will wait for them to hail us or get out of our way."

Codex realizes he was hasted while talking, and makes a conscious effort to slow down.

Hostility roll: (1) They attack, just barely not harpooning the draykboathead! It (2) scrapes Hiraluke with one of the edges, though, causing minor bleeding but quickly stops. (6) The Drayk fires back, piercing their ship thrice exactly at the waterline, sinking it almost immediately. This one was trained by someone in the Way of the Precision Sniper sect, it seems; If there was an Agent of that sect in Hadana, it would be quite useful for Codex and Dragnar.

Sorus
He quickly creates an artilla that is controlled and quite a bit better than your typical artilla at spitting precisely.
Team: artilla 1 (2 Int, 6 Dex)
Essence: 126

Hiraluke (4) hides behind the draykhead better.

Dragnar (6) is still not paying attention.

Derm (4 1) Is distracted by the impressive attack

Codex (1 3) Hastes himself as expected, and (5-1) manages to haste the whole boat as well.
He then continues reading, (1+1) but hasn't found much else yet.
Energy: 30 (Recharging@5/turn)

Griffin pets his artillas.

Sea Luck: (1) Pirates Again! Right infront of Hadana!

See if there's any survivors to be rescued, with "rescued" being closely related to "pressed into slavery" in this particular case. Our boat can obviously handle the other pirate ship.
