Unfortunately, they'll lap that shit up in places like rural Iowa and South Carolina, which is all she cares about right now. I've got to hand it to her -- while she's still as batshit crazy as Palin (quite possibly more so), she's far cannier when it comes to political strategy. She doesn't give a shit about people whose votes she'll never have anyways, so she's playing to her natural base -- angry white guys with a persecution complex. And she knows that the GOP primary schedule favors the most strident candidates early. As it's going now, I think she wins Iowa and South Carolina, probably loses New Hampshire to Romney but not by much.

Umm...truean, you have to read the WHOLE snopes article, they put the FALSE CLAIM at the top, and truth down below. There were never any skirts like this in Japan, at least not like in the photos. Porno magazines photoshopped them as a hoax. Which is still wierd.

I've seen other caught like this before with other snopes topics. Really snopes should put a synopsis at the top explaining the whole thing. It's a terrible design.

Yes I get it. He needs to stand up for his base: black farmers. I would've been more like, "We aren't going to take this shit and if you cut us out of your farm programs just cause we're black, we'll sue the shit out of you. Yeah we should help ALL the farmers. We shouldn't take from some and give to others.Gee, sound familiar assholes?" I get that he's trying to be nice, but come on. Really? Here is someone defending institutionalized racism directed against you and more importantly the people you voluntarily chose to represent and you won't take that head on without kid gloves?

Perhaps it should be added, though, that the whole "it's sexier with very little clothes on than completely naked" is true for "the West" as well. I say "perhaps", because usually the wearer matter as well.
