And I'm back. You people mistake my opinions for hate. I don't like that. You accuse me of being crazy when I come from a valid standpoint. And that is that world peace and harmony is more important than everyone being 'a rare and delicate flower'.
Misrepresentation is clearly not limited to use, then. There's more to being human than being a 'rare and delicate flower' and that would be removed with the removal of diversity. Indeed, diversity is required for life to sustain itself naturally. Furthermore, your proposal is one everyone here has found abhorrent. Would you force it on us regardless? That's nothing less than tyranny, good intentions or no.

Gosh, I can see what you guys mean. I feel like Godwin is looking over my shoulder.

Guys, he's 16.  We all went through phases where we knew for sure that this or that idealistic bullshit doctrine was obviously the way to solve everything.  He'll grow out of it.

Although for the record, when I come into General Discussion, see that you're the most recent poster on a "big issue" thread, and know already that there's a derpstorm going on with you at the epicenter, you may want to look at your viewpoints and figure out why they're so abhorrent to a lot of people.

It's not belittlement, he has a very valid point. The fact that he can immediately tell that you're in the middle of an argument against everybody just because you posted in a debate thread is cause for reflection.

Well that is standard these days isn't it? Why would we go to the trouble of holding all that water were we not going to harness the potential energy?

Or is there some downside I know not of...

It costs more money than the standard model.

EDIT: Also, there would likely need to be repairs made before it's even operational - we airdrop our dams into position, you see.

Bah, we can afford it. Our settlement has the greatest steam forge in the realm! And with that magnetite vein we struck not a fortnight ago, we'll have Spanish silver to spare by next winter. If we can afford to emboss the guards chest plates, we can afford to fit our darn dams!

Huh. I thought you would say something about my hot air powering the steam forge. But whatever. You missed your chance. Now, Cthulhu belittled me by saing I only think this way because I'm sixteen. Who is he to say what will happen to my ideas and beliefs? And I challenge you all to give me a physical negative effect (no emotional or mental) to counteract the positives of peace and order.

Oh, I don't know, how about people not being able to be who they are? To express themselves? Being forced to pretend to be like everybody else 24/7?
