You deposit everyone on the beach and toss about in the air for a while looking down at the island.

Few things wrong with that. First, the boat's broke. Second, the laser is bigger than one of the boats. Third, you don't have any kind of power cell. Fourth, even if you had a D/F cell, it's way too big. Fifth, Stop What You Are Doing And Assume The Party Position.
