As long as someone gets something so it isn't wasted I don't mind.

Funny game, Eve. Here I sit, with a shiny new ship in my hangar and several hours of free time available to play...but there's not really anything to do but wait for my next level of frigate skill to finish training.

On another note, I propose we merge the industrial/pirate corps and do factional warfare.

doesn't doing factional warfare pretty rapidly get you banned from half of hisec?

Also, there's always stuff to do, even if it's just making noise in the "Bay12 EVE" channel

Eve's been one of those games I've played on-again-off-again over the last five or so years. Personally while the game itself seems rather fun, and I can certainly enjoy myself, I have never found a corporation that really encourages me to stick with the game. That honestly is a huge part of online games for me, and I'm sure plenty of other people. I really need people I can at least chat with, if not actually group up with. On that note, how many people do we have going into this corporation? I'd definitely sign up again at least for the trial if we had a a group going. Would even stay if I could have fun playing the trial as well.

Another question, how much is Plex running these days? I remember reading about a recent cash shop update where you could turn plex in for another currency, but has that affected the price of game time in game at all? I'm curious because I'd definitely play this game a lot more than just a few months if I could save up the cash to buy in game time.

I'd like to keep our PVP and PVE aspects separate, to reduce people not interested in combat getting killed.

We have a group and chat channel set up. PLEX is running about 312mil ISK these days.

how many people do we have going into this corporation?
I don't think we have a formal count yet. Several of us whov'e created characters and hang out in the chat channel aren't in either corp yet. But at rough count, to me it looks like we have at least 8, and about 4 more b12ers who socialize with us, but aren't planning to join because they're involved in nullsec corps.

In any case, whenever I log in, I typically see 3-8 people in our chat channel.

Join us.

Doesn't sound like the cash shop effected(affected?) the price of plex much if at all, at least it was around 300 mil when I last logged in a trial account about a year back, definitely a doable price after a few months of play though.

I'll probably see about downloading the game tonight/tomorrow and see what's good then. Any advice on which starting race would have the easiest time working up 300 mil through combat, and which would be best to work it through trade? I'm not entirely sure what I'd want to do, but I do remember having a decently fun time last time I played doing some combat to build up a little money, and then making more by moving around goods to where it was needed.

Kind of doesn't matter. But it was decided yesterday that we'd be affiliated with the Amarr, so if you do Amarr missions, you'll get corp rep bonuses that will give you access to higher level missions faster.

Public chat channel is Bay12 EVE.

PVP corp is Ash Rose Syndicate [ARS]
Industrial corp will be HFS Industries [HFS] once it is set up.

I'm figuring I'll go Amarr then unless I think of an actual reason to be another race (only one I can think of right now is Gallente for their indy ship, but that's not really a good reason).

Oh yeah any chance someone could send me a buddy invite? It's my understanding those last 21 days instead of the public 14 day trials. An extra week sounds pretty good I figure. Toss me a message if you need an e-mail for it.
