Unlike Nekopara
"This game is in your discovery queue because it is popular."

Number one reason I don't use the discovery queue right there.

If I'm not mistaken, Nekopara uses that new image-moving technology which will probably be integrated with Oculus Rift if it ever comes to it. Basically it separates the image into a lot of layers and then uses a kind of optical illusion to make it so the image remains 2D while moving in a 3D environment, thus preserving the art style of the character without the need of 3D models.

I'd link to the proper explanation if I even remotely knew what the search tags would be.

There should be a "dangerously high" setting which can injure the main character.

Maximum health is the inverse of Chest Bounciness.

Turn settings to max for hard mode.

The humble bundles got progressively more gray. Most of them aren't even DRM-free anymore. They're practically steam resellers nowadays.

It uses E-mote actually, if I recall correctly, which seems to use layers and stretch/scaling systems. A tech that has been so far been used in exactly zero good VNs.

The one you are thinking of is Live2D.

I don't effing know dude. Not exactly my field of expertise.

Also right know I'm too frigging hyper from the Gateway update. My emotions are simultaneously going through a complete rollercoaster of wiping all my 3DS savegames and content while getting Gateway to work.
