There is a piece of paper tucked inside the front cover:
ORDER OF EXPLORATION
The group "The Pit of Despair" is hereby ordered to LEAVE The Wealthy Merchants
and create a new fortress in the Rough Forest

The journal proper begins:
25th Limestone 125

Damn that warrant. Damn the paper it's on, damn the ink on its page and damn the king who wrote the damn thing! We were kicked out of the Mountainhome, given a scarce collection of supplies, and told to wander The Realms of Soul until we hit some damned region called The Rough Forest, in which we were to start carving out a new fortress.

The rest of the page is stained with water.

We have finally picked out a site in the forest to settle. The wagon was halted as I made a rough note of where we were:

I have named this site Silverfires.

((OOC: So here's where we start scheming. One of my goals in this fortress is to have a pair of large obsidian obelisks rise above the earth's surface.

I want in, as the stonecrafter and a potential ruler.

I don't have experience in obsidian casting, but I am willing to give it a try.

I figure you will anyways, but I'd love a screencap of my dwarf's description.  I'm planning on doing some journalling as things progress prior to my turn (and after as well)
