How much will those new staffs cost? And what staffs are there?

To save you another turn,

Staff of Lightning-5000☼ (+1 to casting lightning)
Staff of Flame-3000☼ (+1 to casting fire)
Staff of Regeneration-5000☼ (Passive regeneration to all entities nearby)
Staff of Speed-2000☼ (Increased sprinting speed)

Your staff is worth 1000☼.

Head to the armoury to buy a cuirass and boots.

To save YOU another turn, a cuirass with no quality is worth 15 times the metal it is made of.
Boots are worth 12 times the material each.

So for a no-quality set of steel high boots and a cuirass, it'll cost you a mere 390☼, but remember that well-crafted armor gives better protection (an iron sword can get through low-quality steel because there could be gaps in the armor, for example). Check this link for information on Dwarf Fortress item values, which I'm using.

tl:dr, bad steel armor costs 390, superior armor costs 1560, masterwork armor costs too much.

Buy the Staff of Flame, and put my old Staff in my kit of Alchemy.

Oh jeez, Bjorn has a spell that will damage the earth.

And I'm sure you all know why my character would panic over that.

Bow, and leave. "Thank you, fair mages."

Wait for the others in the exit of the castle.

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

Not really complaining, but I still have all the stuff I pawned off like the axe and table. ^^;

Porin scampered out of the room with his new spells. Obviously, the thing to do was test them out! He made his way out to a walkway so there weren't any walls to get in his way and flung a fireball skyward.

But you can't use the rounds for anything... but alright. You'll buy 10 clips of .45.

And yes, you can dual wield a pistol and a spell. :)

Porin Keeperechoes-Porin rushed outside and read the scroll, (3) more-or-less only skimming the page. He got the general... gist of it, but he realized that advanced use was still out of his reach. Regardless, he tossed a fireball in the air, which flew roughly one-hundred feet high, before gently floating down and melting some green patches in the snow.

Bjorn Inmus-Bjorn ran back into the shop, purchased the staff of flame, and shoved his old staff into his alchemy kit... somehow.

Speaking of alchemy, you should get some chemicals soon. They could prove useful, especially since you're a wizard scientist.

New Staff: Staff of Flame

Ivan 'Sir Fiddle' Fiddlebottom-Ivan bought immunization for his boots and gloves at the magic shop.

-500☼
New Passive Effect: Immunize

Taric 'Madman' Cogudib-Taric walked into the armorer's shop, dusted his feet, and marched over to the counter.
Taric: I'm about to slay some giant monsters and I kind-of need some armor.
The bearded human turned around, glanced at Taric, murmured a side-remark about his height, then responded.
Smith: Alright. You want steel or what? I've got a set of steel right here... I'm sure you'll get want you wanted.
Pointing at the cuirass and boots, Taric made his decision.
Taric: I'll take it!

-1560☼
New Armor: +Steel Cuirass+ and +Steel High Boots(2)+

Tarran Terra-Tarran bowed and thanked the shopkeepers.
Tarran: Thank you, fair mages.

Afterwards, he set out to wait for the others at the castle gate, pondering whether to slay Yaetrix or Schazin first.

Nihilius 'Cogs' Vekt-
Cogs: Hello, I was looking to replace my current weapon with something more feasible. Is there any chance I could to some sort of trade-in?
Owner: Feel free to check our available wares! Your cannon seems to be worth about 1200☼... is that a huge scratch I see? Doesn't matter, it still works like a charm, doesn't it?

Spoiler: Shop Details (click to show/hide)

'Zrk'-Zrk went ahead and bought 10 clips of .45 caliber and a fireball scroll.

Porin smiled to himself and shook his feet, getting some of the snow off of his boots. From here on the wall he could see Tarran in the courtyard, waiting at the gate. Probably for everyone else... which meant he should go too. "Heyo!" he yelled down to him. "Porin be right there," he said, then headed for the way down to meet up.
