"Thanks much," Porin said. He wandered off in the same direction Taric and Tarran had, intent on finding a magic shop himself and learning how to cast a few spells... preferably some good old standards like Fireball.

Alright, I'm going to limit people to one active armor enhancement at a time. Can't have everyone running around with total-immunity cloaks. Of course, you can change at will, but you can only switch it once per turn. Think of enchantments somewhat as Crysis 2 module-style... but less (or more) lame. This is a steampunk game anyway, equipment should matter as well as magic.

Porin, since he was first, will get an exception, because his character is already physically smaller and weaker than the others.

Porin Keeperechoes-Porin left the duke's chamber and entered the mage's store.
Porin: Porin look for spells. Got any?
Mage: We have quite a few available for purchase. Feel free to look around.
Porin turned around and noticed the various pedestals dotting the room, each with an animated visualization of what each spell does.

-----Dorok The Warm Tundras' Magic Shop-----
--Spells--
-Offensive-
Fireball-200☼: Shoot balls of fire!
Ice Shards-200☼: Shoot shards of ice!
Etherealize-1000☼: This spell temporarily weakens an enemy, making them literally as light as a feather! This makes them easy to wound or kill.
Balrog's Fury-2000☼: Focus your energy into controlling the very natural fissures within the Earth! This spell lets you create fissures in the ground or move large semgents of the ground up or down.
-Defensive-
Healing Beam-2000☼: Standard wizard spell used to heal most tissue damage rather effectively.

Bjorn Inmus-Bjorn made his way to the gunsmith, only to be knocked down by a very stout individual (2).

The man (1) looks down at you, grins--revealing his crooked teeth--and (6) proceeds to grab you by the neck, lift you over to a bench, set you down, and give you a forceful lecture as to why you should be more careful when walking.

Taric 'Madman' Cogudib-
Taric: What rifles do you have?
Clerk: WMainly hunting rifles, but we do have a prototype repeater and a steamgun, if you're into that kind of thing.

-----The Royal Gunsmith-----
--Guns--
-Rifles-
.22 Winchester 5000-700☼: Standard issue bolt-action rifle used in the royal guard.
.37 Winchester 7000-800☼: High-powered huning rifle used for medium game, but also works well against humans.
.45 Winchester 10000-1000☼: Powerful rifle used for close-range engagements due to its short range and high recoil.
-Experimental-
.303 AR-371-1500☼: Prototype repeating rifle, semi-automatic and accurate up to 300 yards. Uses .37 caliber clips.
MKX Steamgun-2000☼: This is the 10th variant of a fully automatic, steam-powered machine gun. It uses a rotary Gatling-style mechanism to fire rounds at an immense rate. It does, however, require a source of fuel to operate and thus only works for a limited time. It is very heavy and cumbersome for normal humans, so nobody really wanted to buy it. It's on sale at 50% off!
--Ammunition--
-Cartridges-
.22 5-Round Caliber Clip-2☼
.303 10-Round Caliber Clip-3☼
.37 5-Round Caliber Clip-4☼
.45 5-Round Caliber Clip-5☼
.44 Caliber Moon Clips-10☼
-Other-
Cannon Ball-100☼
Musket Ball-5☼
40 Caliber Steamgun Ball-1☼
12-Gauge Flechette Shell-5☼

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Tarran Terra-
Tarran: I am looking for armor enhancements.
(5)
Mage: We lost a few of our scrolls in the past, but let me--
A worker enters the room and brings in a box full of scrolls.
Mage: Ah, the enchantment scrolls! I thought I'd lost them all!
-----Dorok The Warm Tundras' Magic Shop-----
--Enchantments--
-Armor-
Bounce-200☼: Reflect enemy attacks by rolling a 4 or more! This enchantment works for light attacks such as punches and kicks.
Bounce Level 2-300☼: A more skilled enchanter can make Bounce work against projectiles as well. Requires Bounce.
Immunize-500☼: Grant immunity to direct magic attacks, and resistance to conjured projectiles.
Power of the Elder-2000☼: Evil cowers in front of your very feet. Severely weakens all evil-aligned combatants within sight range of yourself.
-Weapon-
Harden-500☼: Make your weapon unbelievably hard and sharp, but risk breaking it with a 1 in combat.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
2000☼
-Status:
Broken Leg

Nihilius 'Cogs' Vekt-See Tarran's roll. By the way, what is your coward ability supposed to do again? Shouldn't it be colored red?
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

'Zrk'-
Zrk: Alright then, we'll need horses and food.
Duke: That will be fine. Notify us when you are ready to leave.
(2)
Zrk then left and bought some rather large rounds for his pistol, but then realized that none of them actually fit into his gun. They are twice as large as they should be! Who could fire a gun that big?

Porin thought about it. The Balrog's Fury sounded very nice indeed, but after the enchantments earlier he just didn't have the money. Besides, he should start with the basics and learn those first, get competent at magic before trying something powerful like that. "Fireball, Ice Shards. Sound good," Porin said, going through his bag for the requisite 400 cash.
