Everyone heads into the lab, as Wallace slots the turtle onto his belt. As soon as he does, the turtle's vitals pop up on the cube's surface.
The inside of the lab is just as uneventful as when you left it, assistants doing menial labor while the scientists file paperwork or perform experiments.
The Prof. is near the back in his own research room, and as you walk in you notice a kid of about thirteen speaking with him. The kid looks like a miniature version of the Prof, and wears a bright yellow shirt.
Prof. C: "...and that's why SCIENCE is superior in EVERY way to- Oh, you're back. Did you get to Nathan's alright?"
Nat recounts the trip to Bushles, with Furtuka providing more details. The Prof looks satisfied.
Prof. C: "That guy is such a PRICK. I guess I should give you a REWARD for dealing with him. Wait here a minute."
He opens the door to what appears to be a closet, and ducks inside. The kid looks over to you.
Kid: "Hey."

Kid: "Hey."
Kaguro nods at him, while Furtuka just glares.
Wallace: "Hi."
Nat: "Hello. So, what're you doing here?"
Kid: "I'm visiting my uncle Burt, today's the day I set out for adventure!"
Nirur: "What a coincidence, we started adventuring today too! So are you getting a belt or a bracer?" I'm Nirur, by the way."
Kid: "I'm Ken, and I'm not really sure. A belt seems good, but so does a bracer."
Wallace: "Burt? Is that the Prof.'s name?"
Before Ken can answer, the Prof. himself comes back out of the closet carrying a bunch of chips, and a caged electric rodent.
Prof. C: "Okay, I've got UPGRADE CHIPS of a few kinds, and also some TAMING CHIPS. Any questions?"
