Adventurer's Book known chapters:
If you are holding this book, then chances are that you yourself are an Adventurer!
An Adventurer is generally described as any person who tries to lead an exciting life using Objecticon. Travelling the world and using Objecticon to battle other Adventurers are usually seen as the "goal" of an Adventurer.
While this may be true for some, others have many different goals, such as meeting new people, aquiring fame, or personal riches. The best way to fufill these goals usually leads to entering into Contests or Tournaments.
Contests, Tournaments, and the Objecticon Adventurer's League
The Objecticon Adventurer's League not only creates the majority of Adventuring items such as this book, but is also responsible for ensuring that all Objecticon Contests and Tournaments follow safety regulations. While places outside the League's influence exist, they are few and far between.
The League hopes that you, the Adventurer, succeed in your personal goals with the help of our guidance and reliable Adventuring products.
A Boss is a member of the Objecticon Adventurer's League who has been given control of a town or city's Objecticon Fight Club.
Bosses are chosen for their personal strength in battle, as their only responsibilty to the League is to test Adventurers ability to command and wield Objecticon.
Although the League does not take a direct hand in a Boss' duties, they are high ranking members within the League and may revoke an Adventurer's Adventurer status. This is almost completely unknown to happen, but be aware of it.
They are also usually a member of (if not the entirety of) their town's peacekeeping force.
Boss Battles:
Within their Club, a Boss has complete control. They make any and all rules, and may demand specific battle conditions.
One-on-One battles, all-Trainer/User battles, and Capture-the-Adventurer battles are common, but expect any situation. Bosses have the right to refuse a Boss Pin for any reason.
Fight Clubs:
A Club is the domain of a Boss. There are seven Fight Clubs, one in each of the following towns:
Burance: Daniel Henge (#1)
Nunally: Barbara O'Neal (#2)
Rettick: Jones Jones (#3)
Ortho: [Unknown]* (#4)
Arios: Monk Cath (#5)
Rancor: Randall Under (#6)
Zender: David Walker (#7)
*Due to the nature of the Town of Ortho, any information on the Boss of Ortho is incredibly out of date by the time these books are printed. Due to this, the League his stopped bothering to keep track.
A club need not be an actual building, only a position within or around the town which is large and easily accessible from the town itself.
As an Adventurer, it is your duty to understand the Objecticon of the world, and how to face each. This chapter is focused on the strengths and weaknesses of the different types of Objecticon, and what sets them apart.
Animals vs Objects
Animal Objecticon are those Objecticon that are captured and tamed from the wild. They may exist outside of an Objecticube for as long as you wish, and in fact do not require one to function.
An Animal is upgraded by inserting cubes into naturally-occuring slots on the Animal's body, which will change the animal in a way unique to the individual.
In the majority of situations, an animal must be captured and trained before it may be used in battle.
Object Objecticon are those Objecticon that are created by a cube holding an inanimate object being stored on an Objectibelt or Objectibracer. They can exist outside of their cube for long periods of time, but will almost universally return to their cube when unattended. They require a cube to function.
An Object is upgraded by inserting Upgrade Chips into the Object's cube, which will enhance the Object differently depending on the type of Chip used.
Objects must be stored onto a cube to be used in battle, and will almost always be an effective weapon, even if their source object is not.
Summons vs Weapons
Note: This section applies only to Object Objecticon. Animals are unchanged by the usage of their cube.
Summons (sometimes called Object Animals) are the result of a filled Objecticube being placed in an Objectibelt. They transform the source object into a creature suitable for battle. These creatures differ from animals in that they will not exit their cube unless called, and will immediately return to their cube when they are not needed. They are capable of understanding complex commands, and the summoner (Trainer) retains a link with them at all times.
Weapons are the result of a filled Objecticube being placed in an Objectibracer. They transform the source object into a piece of equipment that may be wielded by the user. Weapons will usually give the User an innate ability to perform the intended action of the weapon while they are in use.
Example: A gun-type Objecticon will give basic marksmanship skills to the User while it is being wielded, and those skills will disappear when the Objecticon is no longer used.
Animals are creatures which wander most areas, occuring naturally from many sources. They are as intelligent as Summons, but usually lack their perfect disipline.
An animal must be trained before it is of use, and training is possible via interaction with a human from birth, or from usage of a Taming Chip.
Unlike Object Objecticon, Animal Objecticon will not be effected by being placed in an Objectibelt or bracer. The form they take is dependant on their Type, Species, and Modifications.
Type, Species, and Modifications
Type indicates the abilities and origin of the Animal.
Examples: Stone, Electric, Water, Wood, and many others.
Type may be modified slightly by use of Modifications.
Species is the description of the Animal's body structure.
Examples: Rodent, Cat, Fish, Bird, Sea Serpent, and many others.
Species may be modified slightly by use of Modifications.
Modifications are a special kind of Upgrade exclusive to Animals.
To use a Modification, an Objecticube is fitted into an Animal's Slot(s). If the cube contains a normal object, it will enhance the Animal. If the cube contains an Objecticon, it will both enhance the Animal and alter it in some way.
Example: Three Electric Rodents are Modified.
Rodent 1 recieves a cube containing an iron ball. It gains Endurance and characteristics of iron. It is now an Electric Iron Rodent.
Rodent 2 recieves a cube containing an Iron Hedgehog (Iron ball previously placed in a belt). It gain Endurance, and characteristics of both iron and hedgehogs. This result would likely* be the same if the cube had contained an Iron Hedgehog Animal. It is now an Electric Iron Hedgerodent.
Redent 3 recieves a cube containing an Iron Cludgel (Iron ball previously placed in a bracer). It gains Endurance, and may be altered in some way* related to iron or cludgels. It may gain iron armor, or teeth, or may develop a larger, harder tail.
*Certain Modifications are unpredictable and seemingly random. While a Modification will not change while applied, de-applying and re-applying a Modification has a chance of changing the outcome.
While Objecticon are used for many tasks, the majority of which are mundane, they are most useful to Adventurers as means to attack and defend themselves.
Wild Battles
A Wild Battle is catagorized here as any battle against an Objecticon or Animal that does not have a Trainer or User. In a Wild Battle, there are no rules or restraints to protect you or your objecticon. Wild Battles usually end when one party flees, or is incapacitated/killed. These are theoretically the most dangerous battles, although most wild animals are weaker than those properly trained.
Standard Battles
A Standard Battle is a battle between two or more Adventurers, and has only loosely defined rules. Generaly aggreed upon rules include not killing opponent's Objecticon, or severely injuring the opponent themselves.
Battles between Trainers are easier to decide, as the Objecticon can be returned to there cube at any time without further injury.
Battles between Users are harder to determine, as one or more parties may not admit defeat, even when obviously beaten.
Battles between Adventurers may have some sort of reward at stake, but this is between each individual.
Contest and Tournament Battles
Official Tournaments and Contests vary in individual rules and regulations, but universal rules include the safety of the participants.
Almost all have large rewards, though some are for prestige and recognition only.
Boss Battles
Boss Battles are, like Standard Battles, mostly unregulated. The Boss makes their own rules, and decide what criteria are needed to earn their Boss Pin. Inside the Fight Clubs, Dojos, and other places that house them, they make the rules.
Some Boss' give other rewards in addition to Boss Pins, but this is up tp the Boss' discretion.
Non-Adventurer Battles
Note: The actions depicted in this section are not endorsed or recommended by the Objecticon Adventurer's League.
Sometimes, it is necessary to defend one's self from attackers. If these people truly mean to hurt you, you have only yourself and your friends to rely on.
Criminal organizations, like everyone, use Objecticon to further their goals. Criminals may use altered Objectibelts or bracers to give themselves an unfair advantage, and will in general work to undermine any semblance of fairness or respect for Objecticon Battles.
Unlike any other battle, these are against opponents who are not only aiming to hurt or kill you, but will also be using Objecticon equal to an Adventurer's, far stronger that those normally found in the wild.
As an Objecticon is attacked as takes damage, it loses effectiveness in battle.
There are several different ways for enemy Objecticon and Users to effect you and your Objecticon.
Damage: Physical damage across the whole body. A Summon or Animal will no longer be able to fight if it takes beyond Major damage.
Specific Damage: Damage to a specific body part. Enemies may aim to cripple your Objecticon's weapons, or ability to move.
Exhaustion: Holding out for your opponent to wear themself out can be a viable tactic. Elemental attacks cannot be used continuously for long perions of time, and physical attackers will eventually get tired.
Paralysis: Inability to move, due to electrical, poison, or other elemental attacks.
Poisoned: Constant dmage due to poison elemental attacks.
Freezing, Burning, Drenched, Other: Some elemental attacks can damage in various ways. Water-type Objecticon are vulnerable to being frozen, fire can be drenched, wood can be burned.
Natural Immunity:
Some Objecticon may be able to endure certain elemental attacks without ill effects. Rock cannot be electrocuted, water is immune to being burned, sreel won't be thrown around by wind. As a rule of thumb, most Objecticon are immune to their own type.
Weaponization
An Objecticube is a container used to transport and store objects. When it is placed in an OAL Objectibelt or bracer, they are weaponized.
An object which weaponizes a contained Objecticube is called a Weaponization Garment.
A weaponized Objecticube will not retain its weaponization when out of a Garment, though there exist "Fixed" Objecticubes, which will always function as if placed into a Weaponization Garment.
There are Garments other than belts and bracers, but these are not League manufactured and are not recommended.
Animals will not be altered by a Garment, though they may be Upgraded using Fixed cubes to achieve interesting results.
Storage using an Objecticube
Objecticubes may store any inanimate (unmoving) object, and any living object which does not struggle. A struggling animal or moving object may be able break free from the cube, releasing them.
Cubes cannot hold unaltered matter greater than two metric tons, or 100 meters2. Weaponized objects may exceed these limits, but this is rare.
To ensure the safety of all participants, Adventurer's League Tournaments and Contests will obey the following:
-Medical Assistance will be provided at all times.
-Deliberate use of lethal force on human opponents will result in disqualification.
-Accidental use of lethal foece on human opponents may result in disqualification.
-Use of illegal Objecticon or Objecticon-related products will result in confiscation of products. Severe offences may result in loss of Adventurer Status.
