Powers back on after a super fun tornado. I'm lazily sketching away at the important stuff, because while I spent some three hours writing and drawing and fleshing things out, none of it is immediately relevant  :-[.

@Taco: You are in after this update.

Jasper takes the axe and scales the hillock (Difficulty: 6 - (5) + (0) = (5)). He cuts out the body of the tree, which is now rotting and hollow, quite successfully. Unfortunately, it rolls down the hill and impacts with the fence, which remains undamaged, exploding into flinders from the impact. Sort of impressive.

Taric rallies some workers to keep work going on the crops, with the aid of Richard (Difficulty: 6 - (6), (9) + (0) = (9)). A solidly moving plea from Taric is, by the aid of Richard, rent into an envigorating call to arms against the impudent fields. Soil samples are taken from the ground, and crops are speculated over and selected for compatibility. While good sense usually forbids it, you estimate a realistic yield from the crops and partition the land accordingly such that, should you find the seeds you hope for, you should find no crop in shortage or excess, accounting for keeping stock to replant with and for a comfortable buffer of produce.

Abayuma scouts for some measure of prey, taking note of resources and growths in the area (Difficulty: 6 - (10) + (0) = (10)). He finds a great deal in his search, mainly the fact that, holy hell, there is a scraggly grove of pine trees near to your home, hidden only by a granite defilade before stretching into plains land again. He also finds a deer and takes a shot (Difficulty: 6 - (8 ) + (0) = (8 )) that pierces the throat and kills it almost outright, felling the fine specimen of delicious mobile meat. [You are now quite certain that this is the extent of things in the local area, and one would need a second site to differentiate in any way].

Duncan snoozed somewhere, an unknown entity that had yet to enter the party's calculations.

Here is a revised rendition of the lands you inhabit:

And a rendition of the kingdom you think you dwell within the boundaries of:

Examine the keep to see if we could improve it with what resources we have.

Bring my deer bakc, and leave it for someone to skin, and slice into meat. Grab 3 days of rations, and keep the bow, and arrows set out to begin scouting the area all around out home.

( I hope thats ok with the amount of rations I took. I want to scout quite a bit before returning )

(This area is not so large as to require rations for walking around in, and exploration is done until such a time as you can colonize a new place).

Ah, I get you now. I must admit I did not provide any sort of scale for the map, a flaw born of laziness really. Traveling the coast line from one side of the Bay of Lies to the other side is almost a full month on foot. It is a land full of tremendous canyons and rivers, but the land is so massive that said rivers are rivulets and the canyons a crevice much like those upon the finger tip; significant when in scale but numerous as to provide a seamless countenance.
