I'll have to play this on Xbox, there is no way my PC is running it. Any Bay12ers interested in forming a clan on Xbox live for BF3?
hell i am!

I'm debating getting it on Xbox as well as PC. I guess we'll see after I play both Betas...

http://bf3blog.com/battlefield-3-system-requirements/

Minimum requirements for Battlefield 3
OS: Windows Vista or Windows 7
Processor: Core 2 Duo @ 2.0GHz
RAM: 2GB
Graphic card: DirectX 10 or 11 compatible Nvidia or AMD ATI card.
Graphics card memory: 512 MB
Hard drive: 15 GB for disc version or 10 GB for digital version

Recommended system requirements for Battlefield 3
OS: Windows 7 64-bit
Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU
RAM: 4GB
Graphics card: DirectX 11 Nvidia or AMD ATI card, GeForce GTX 460, Radeon Radeon HD 6850
Graphics card memory: 1 GB
Hard drive: 15 GB for disc version or 10 GB for digital version

I'm over the recommended specs, so I'm golden :D :D :D

Seems I'll have to upgrade. I'm above the minimum reqs, but minimum these days means "can run, and render at least one frame every minute" so I think I'll have to upgrade...

It seems my old dual core CPU is not cutting it any more. :(

About the differing disc and download version sizes: I was perplexed by that too, but there's no way extra languages take up 5 GB. At least I hope so. It has to be something with cutscene movies or sound. Maybe lower quality?

Well fuck I hope I can afford a new computer before October. I'm expecting all of 10fps on lowest settings with this thing I'm using now. :(

Sure they can, if the game is multi-5 or even multi-7. Remember that there is a single player campaign which has videos and dialogue. Audio takes a good chunk of space.

Well, yes, if they have multiple voiceover languages 5 GB is not very strange, but I assumed that they would only have one voiceover set and then have multiple text-languages. Like the old games.

There's no reason the disc version would install multiple voiceover languages onto your hard drive. Use your brain.

My specs are almost the exact ones specified as recommended.

That is, until I get my second graphics card.

Yeah, I'd say that's an order of magnitude higher in specs than BC2 Soulwynd :P

Glad I got my quad core not too long ago, or upgrading would have been a big thing for BF3.

Confirming that that tank battle is indeed awesome.

Why is fire black on a thermal imaging camera, though? And why doesn't there seem to be any bullet drop on the longer range shots they fired?

So BF3 is 64-bit only?
