Ah well, that is a bit upsetting for me... makes claims a lot more costly, but it definitely fixes that issue at the least.

On another note:
How do we propose to find each other once the new version launches?  Should we all use skype/steam/ or something else someone can recommenced to run a group chat discussing where we are and allowing us to party to find each other?
I'd suggest a teamspeak or raidcall server. If you're online, you can hop on, even if you don't have a mic. Listening in is still good.

If you look in the other games section, there is a bay12 team speak server that was up. ( than again I have been busy so I have not been on)

Oh yeah suppose that would work pretty well.  TS does also have text-to-speech for those who want to type so that's pretty excellent.

So I just noticed the latest info thread now has a release date.

Anybody booking time off work with me?

Aw fuck, that's my brother's wedding. #HateLife.  ;D

Any TL;DR of the changelog?

In short, they've applied Salem everything to the Haven and Hearth mechanisms & Setting.

I tended to avoid Salem.  TL;DR what makes Salem different?

It's more that they updated the graphics and game engine to a more -comparitive to salem- style.  As far as I know there's not a great deal of changes to HnH's core mechanics, there isn't going to be salems NPC sellers or 'pay to actually play the game' mechanics.

It's prettier, better coded (so they claim, and so that they might better update things in the future.) and some vague references to new objects, ores and whatnot.

The main video on the front page of the HnH wiki has also been updated and uses the new version that's coming out of the game.

Shall you be attempting to join us Azkanan for the 'most likely not gonna go so well but we'll see' bay12 attempt at a township?

I would join, but I'm not a very good neighbour... I tend to keep things small and to myself. Usually playing just to burn some stress out of me. I don't have much time and my play time is random at best.

However, I might play this new version... Might even try to live near you... If you found a village, "most likely not gonna go so well but we'll see" is an amazing name if you ask me xD

Yes, it is more an intent of a village than a proper town.  Small and to yourself would be excellent, I merely want a group of somewhat like minded people living nearby, as opposed to each of us living near complete strangers.

As mentioned before you don't need to share or give a single thing to anyone else, it's more for a community of people who know each other and can wave as we pass each other on the river instead of costantly seeing ??? people and wondering if they are going to shoot you.

If I join the group area, prepare to see swaths of fields of wheat and such, mostly of low quality stuff for looks more then actual growth, thats behind walls  ;)

Honestly, I am really a player that plays to play a more sandboxy Harvest Moon then anything else. Give me a farming game where its not all there at the start and I turn it into Harvest Moon :P

Recently downloaded the new Harvest Moon: A Lost Valley and finding that tickling that itch, but the review scores over the net are lowlowlow for some reason...

well However much wheat/other foods you want to spit out it'll probably get eaten.  One of the hard things about growing a military character I find is the sheer amount of food you want to eat to get decent stats.

Basically, rain pumpkin pie/bread/carrots/apple pie/blueberry pie/ and anything else that gives 1 or two stats down on me and I'll be a happy, happy man.  Even if it is of low quality.
