Shame I retired so quickly but still quite awesome to be the first american in space.

Edit: lol, not even close, I must have dropped out of the program due to horrible reading comprehension skills.

Mainiac was on:

Mercury XII
Gemini X
Gemini XV

You had a 9 year tenure in the space program and -4 prestige(Gemini XV went very badly).

Space duration 6.

Current high scorers are Cosmonaut with 6 prestige, Scout with 14, Tarren with 2

(Success)

...and we lost 1972 Spring. Soviets landed on the moon NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

I kinda sprinted through this cause I knew we lost.

To be fair though, we never lost an astronaut in space, thats a damn miricle in this game.

Winner is Tarren, with 21 prestige points, space duration of 11 and tenure of 8 years.

He was in,
Gemini XI
Gemini XVI
Apollo VIII

YAY I WIN OH NO SOVIETS WIN SPACE RACE BUT I GOT MORE POINTS SO I DON'T CARE. EVERYONE ELSE CAN SUCK MY ROCKET'S VAPORS!

Also, Deadmeat, use the edit button. Honestly, you make way too many posts that are way too short to justify them.

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.
Quote from: Ze Spy
Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

I know, i've been doing this for ages. I need to edit and expand instead of new posts. It's silly otherwise  :P

It's so frustrating that partial failures can hurt your prestige so much.  If your 'nauts make it back safe and sound then I think the "no harm no foul" principle applies.  Sure it's not prestigious to miss your orbital insertion trajectory but it shows that your systems are robust enough that you can roll with the problems.  I mean Apollo 11 and Apollo 13 were partial failures and people didn't say that those failures showed the Americans sucked.  Partial failures were inevitable so adapting to them kept them from tarnishing NASA's image.

Sure.

As for mainiac, i agree really. I think its more of a balance and gameplay feature so you cant literally milk prestige out of spamming missions.
