From what I've heard, he is an Inept ruler. Outlawing magic and the creatures that reside in its influence, and now Unfair taxes?

How about we stop the problem at it's source, instead of doing something to perpetuate the cycle? You with me?

Hold rod tightly. Ask woman about rod. If she doesn't know anything, Go a few meters form woman. Place rod down. If rod doesn't move by itself, Select one end of the rod. Spin rod. Place in hole rods selected end most points to.

Woo! Defying laws of physics! Build a power generator to collect the wind the rod creates. Use the power to boost speed. Use infinite energy to demolish everything.
Here's what you really do: Toss rod up to the ceiling trying to hit hole in ceiling. If falls back down: Place in hole rods selected end most points to.
