I certainly could do without all the stupid arguments between posters, though.

Dodging in Oblivion is completely pointless and does nothing.

Nonsense. You just don't know how to do it properly.

See? You argued otherwise and when asked for details started blabbering about running. You did not know about the dodging system. If you did, you wouldn't have done that.
You mean the one which makes you roll without actually dodging attacks, rather than the moving-fast-to-avoid-being-hit method that I mentioned which actually dodges attacks?

Edit: Can you sense the sarcasm here? Don't let me interrupt your trolling, though!

Oh, I'm the troll here? That's rich. I've said all I'm going to say on the matter in my previous post. You're baiting, but I'm not biting.

I think when people say "dodging" in the context of games, they usually mean a dodging system. Not utilizing basic movement to move out of the way of something, cause that's something you could say nearly any real-time game has.

...What happened here? This has nothing to do with the game. No more posting except for stuff related to Skyrim.

I wonder if Beth could buy Obsidian and have them do the writing and design, while Beth does the engineering. Now that would be pretty good.

Beth is using ID for engineering so i bet they are just looking over their shoulders and watch.

Eh? They're using what now? To me ID means two things, id Software and intelligent design. I'm pretty sure neither has anything to do with Bethsoft. What're you talking about? Do you know something I don't?

ID software is owned by Bethesda now, you didn't know?

Actually I didn't know that. But Wikipedia claims both Bethsoft and id are owned by ZeniMax Media. I don't think that means they're free to use each other's tech, the hype articles claim Bethsoft developed their own engine for Skyrim. Although probably it would be better if they just used id's.

They'll probably leverage id's monster-hiding-in-cupboard-and-jumping-out-when-you-turn-away technology.

Despite the large amounts of pessimism surrounding this, I will buy it and enjoy it just like I bought Oblivion and enjoyed unless something goes wrong and Bethsoft goes under or something ridiculous.

Games like this are why I bought an HDMI cable. And LittleBigPlanet 2. So sexy o3o

Also, it's id, not ID :u

Could be worse, they could be using LucasArts Jedi Outcast's corpses-vanish-when-you-stop-looking-for-one-second technology.
