As far as "movies you shouldn't watch blind", 120 Days of Sodom ranks very high on that list. Did someone tell you to watch it? I feel like it's one of those prank films, where you tell innocent people to watch it and they just get scarred for life.

I found in the bargain bin at a flea market so bought i it along with several other movies and it is the only movie that shocked me so much that i couldn't move or think properly because i was so freaked out so thank god my sister walked in recognized the film and immediately turned off the vcr and had a long talk with me about why i shouldn't watch what is basically a pseudo-snuff film

You know that’s based on a book right? It was written by the Marquis de Saude who was a nobleman nobody liked due to his fucked up personality. Sadism is named after him. He wrote most of his books from jail.

Most of that is pretty debatable.

I thought he wrote it as a cynical mockery of his contemporary nobles' facade of virtue and puritanism, behind which was hidden a world of decadence, nihilism, and depravity.

It's interesting just how many time periods you could apply this quote to. The exceptions would no doubt be the eras of unrestrained hedonism where there wasn't even a pretense of virtue

I think we all here understand the lore. But they do get a bad rap, although they are very beneficial creatures... look it up.
