After furiously fighting my way through an old Martian temple, I found myself at the level boss with no lives in reserve and no back-up credits. That means I'll die to a single hit. And I've never fought this boss before, meaning I have no clue what his attack patterns look like. I resign myself to dying horribly.

After some amazing dodges, lots of bullets and a few perfectly-timed Vaunts, I watched in amazement as the boss began to explode. I'd beaten him without a single hit! I was ecstatic!

...and then the boss was re-announced as the game's final boss, his health bar was refilled, and I was killed by a laser beam.

That stage is HARD D:

Trying a speed run in Spelunkey. I run past some spikes, leap over a small hill, get nailed by an arrow trap, and fly back to land dead-center on previously-mentioned spikes. Insta-death. I swear this game is telepathic, as it always throws the most bs-y obstacles at me when I try to complete a speed run.

Try spawning with two arrow traps. Two and a half seconds in and I'm dead. Arrow trap activates, knocks me into range of the other, and bang, dead.

That took me two hours to do. Just have to repeat and repat and develop the muscle memory, since you just cant move that fast.

Holy hell the final room, its the worst of all the other rooms in a horrible flipping spiky package.  It makes Cave story's true final area look like a damn cakewalk.  200 deaths to that room alone.

Diablo 2, Median XL. Really puts a new breath into the game, even if the engine is horribly under-prepared for the number of things that happen onscreen.

But then again, in Cave Story, you lacked the ability to save in the last parts. VVVVVV's final room has a checkpoint just before the big danger. Of course, it doesn't mean that VVVVVV's final room is much easier, but it's less tedious with that checkpoint placement.

Although really, Final room's kinda funny, when it's your first time entering it, and suddenly, it's the room where everybody gets the Most deaths in a room status thingy.

I hate that place.

Psychonaunts

As for the deathclaws in New Vegas, I can usually scapre up at least 2 Stealthboys in Goodsprings, and can slip by them, and then through the McCarren monorail easily... now that I know exactly what to do.

Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2

I was one inflammation away from succeeding the operation, but time ran out. Great, had to start that ten-minute operationfest again...

Oh for the love of all that is holy, WHY DON'T YOU DIE YOU STUPID DEFTERA!

Deftera keep fusing with the same colored Deftera, which damages a patient's vitals. They're also spitting out too much tumors that literally drain off the vitals in just a few seconds.
