Does getting your character's soul sucked out by a possessed book when it decides to have it's way with you count? Because that happened to me earlier in Monmusu Quest.

Just had one of these... in Alpha Centauri.

Random map, started on a fairly large continent with Deirdre and Yang. Both dealt with in the early turns. Run into Morgan and we become BFFs. The game goes on, Miriam roflstomps Zacharov on the other big continent. I spend a while fighting her, then look back to my territory. To find Morgan having gone Israeli on my border. Crammed yellow bases all over, in between my spaced out bases, stealing a fair chunk of all that terraformed goodness. GAH. Next time, no pacts.

On another note: tried to play Touhou on Lunatic when I haven't had any sleep for 2 days. It... did not end well, but I at least got about 25% completion before I lost.

Anyway, those 3 Bandits in front of the bridge in Shrouded Hills. I shoot the leader to death with my gun, but his two Ogre butt-buddies proceed to pound me and my two companions into the ground.

I was in a war with Iraq and eventually, they got the upper hand. As a last attempt to win, I launched several nukes into Iraq. China soon retaliated with masses of nuclear weapons directed at the US, France soon did the same. They both got pelted by hundreds of nuclear missiles until none more could be launched. Several more nuclear attacks crippled America and eventually desperate assassination attempts were used against me. A mob of angry people ousted me out of the White House, peacefully ending my reign.

Shadow President is epic.
