Odd Relation - Tongsletter's adventurer uncle, who no one talks about.  Went to the elven lands, but for what purpose?
Easily Manipulated (believes in nobles and his low status)

Backstory: Tongsletter has always felt out of place in the Mountainhome, like he doesn't deserve it.  He spends as much time on the surface as possible, taking comfort in performing tasks other dwarves don't want.  The caste system confirms his status as "outsider", and he accepts that.  He has scared off goblin ambushes by ambushing and sniping them from cover.  He has never met an elf directly, but finds what little he knows of their culture interesting.  He isn't aware of their views on woodcutting and cannibalism, though.

Free items: A chicken!
Previous equipment:
100 - Heavy Crossbow (on back) - Much better than the repeating crossbow for a relatively safe task like hunting.
 20 - Quiver of 20 bolts
 50 - Clothes - Dyed green Rope Reed clothing and cloak.  Comfortable, mobile, and the elves parted with it very cheaply.
 10 - Lantern - Useful for night patrols, particularly due to his light-adjusted eyesight.
 15 - Oil Vial
Purchased equipment:
 80 - Battle axe
 15 - Dwarven Rum - The best thing below the surface.
 40 - Sweet Pod Seeds - The Rum must flow.
  8 - Preserved Plump Helmets - Hopefully he won't have to eat these, but sometimes the hunt goes poorly.  They aren't so bad.
 50 - kitten - DAWWWWWWWWW

Remaining dosh contributed to the group: 212☼

If my shopping is uneventful (I kinda assumed that, sorry) I'll head to the casino as well and play Chicken Bite.  I'll risk up to 100☼ on it- if I win, maybe I'll get that leather armor after all!  And I can't lose, this money is for the group!

Well, as long as nobody is around >.>  <.<  Look for leather armor.  If found, equip it.  Then, hide behind some barrels, perferably in a position where I could hear if the conspiritors come back.  Also dark so they would have trouble seeing me.  Oh and maybe find a crossbow and some bolts too, while I'm at it.

Out of the corner of your eye you see some cloth flapping. Seeing a large object covered in a tarp, you investigate and take it off. Underneath is a fully operational ballista with some bolts. You can't move it, but it's already facing the right way and with some minor set-up you could get it operational.

I have read up on the directions, and added some flavor text to my shopping post.

Kogan awoke to a knocking at the door to the apartment he shared with his son. "You said you wanted a wake-up knock, here it is ... Be careful out there, Kogan."
He yelled a "thank you" to his neighbor, then sat-up and got dressed, grumbling all the while. Tosid, always a heavy sleeper, was still out. Kogan watched him fondly for a few minutes before saying his final goodbye. "You'll do good, son. Just remember what I told you, and you'll ... you'll do good. Be careful." Sighing, he donned his cloak, checked that his script was still in his pocket, and headed down to prepare.

He first stopped at the logistics depot. Unimpressed by the lady's salesman ship, he nonetheless bought a good deal of rope and a few trinkets for his plans, in addition to a bin of pages. He did his best to talk the clerk into throwing in a few used pencils, free of charge. He'd promised to write letters chronicling his journey to Tosid. She mentioned that his goods would be carted up to the caravan shortly.

He next stopped to requisition some supplies from the stockpile, wincing when he realized who was currently in charge - The forgemaster had been more then a little upset that he was off on some fool errand. He glared silently as Kogan requested two bins of coal, nodding once before continuing his glare. Kogan quickly left.

His last stop was the storeroom. He considered keeping some money, but decided that he would rather not risk sobriety. If he needed anything else during the journey, he was sure he could just barter for his services.

Having finished his shopping, he headed up to a dining hall. He used the last of his pocket change to buy a large +dwarven syrup biscuit+ and some cheap rum, which he took his time to consume. He then headed up towards to where the caravan was waiting, where he would check his goods.


I hope somebody decides to be a farmer.

Meh, I'll try and drag some with me in the first migrant shipment.  For now though I'm trying to keep you guys safe.  Just set up a hole in the ground so my character doesn't have to go outside.

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

Are you sure that you want to be 'Softy'? That means that you're especially vulnerable to wounds. Soft clay anatomy, you know. You're also a Skilled Defender and have two Novice skills. Ambidextrous would help with crossbows, yes.

I can't get Stone Footed if I want to harvest converse with the local mermaids at the embark site, so I'll edit in a change to the bad traits once I figure things out.

I'll search the bodies for any more clues I can, then use my map of the town to locate any unused warehouses in the city. I will proceed to progress toward the warehouse.

Which actions need dice rolls, other then attempting to negotiate for pencils? I didn't think the breakfast made much difference either way, and we're certainly not expected to cart several barrels of food to the caravan ourselves.

Lilli... seriously?  That's taking information you don't know and using it to a whole new level.

Action:  Shoot anybody that comes into the warehouse with the ballista.  Shoot first ask questions later is always the right policy!

I'm a town guard, why wouldn't I have a map of the town for my patrols? Besides, I'm not looking to fight you, just probe you for information about the bodies.
