your welcome, nice to have you on-board. After all every Bay12er is another person who has a clue...

Mainly the clue is that losing is fun but hey whatever.

So it seems I accidentally put my canteen in my wheelbarrow and didn't notice... and then I got really thirsty... so right before going to sleep I go to take a swig from my canteen and... end up snorting a line of low-grade meth.

quick question, do you always find something while auto searching unless the tile is depleted?

I've gotten nothing found twice in a row, just not sure if i should auto search elsewhere over the night

Depleted zones?  Don't auto-search there if possible.  All you get is logs and scrap.

Its purely random if you get anything or not.

I actually wouldn't mind another town full of new players. I also plan on making an immediate "newbie guide" post in the forums and hoping I can save a few lives that way, but I guess I'm a masochist because this has been hella fun so far even its like herding cats.

You make the assumption they will actually read the forums...

This game has a heavy luck basis I find. You really need to find a hacksaw early as if you don't you end up wasting so many ap on the workshop/factory it gets expensive to build. Also you want an electronic component early too for teh search tower.

Our town did have a compoent but someone built a mark II gun with it. This wasn't smart. However I will say that the mark II battery gun is fairly awesome as you can often kill 5+ zombies before the battery dies.

Seen a few people that I've been in towns with thus far, wanted to throw out a 'hello' to all of ya. I am still new to the Bay12 community.

I believe the market has been saturated. I still have 3 unused keys as well.

Also, The Colony Of Nights Without End is coming to an end and stupidly, I wasted a lot of AP throwing corpses outside before I realised I could have used those AP to dismantle 2 asshole-owned hovels and build my very own shack to hide in from the inevitable zombie hordes which will undoubtedly bypass our meager 35 defense.
Last night we had 89 zombies attacking...

Wow, the Hamlet of Murderers is on day 4 with 33 living citizens and with no risk from the attack tonight.  We've got a garden and a butcher and a pump and a water purifier and lots of defenses PLANS for the future.  It seems we might be able to build some of the epic stuff pretty soon, like the fake town.  And apparently this is the first town for a lot of the players!  Awesome.
