For context, those were our vaccines. EU had impounded them whilst accusing AstraZeneca of playing favourites over who it supplied first, but AZN and UK had already signed their supply contracts whilst France and Germany were still criticising the UK's rushed vaccine development

No armed invasion of the Netherlands was planned, this has been spread by Russian disinfo, bemused tabloids and funnily enough, Boris's own press team. So there's no evidence that Boris actually did order a military plan to be drafted for doing a smash and grab on the impounded vaccines. Boris himself has alluded to it, lets people believe it, but isn't putting it in writing. He is currently being grilled for treating Covid-19 like a joke and letting lots of Brits die so he has a vested interest in proving to people that he was willing to do anything, even consider military options to save British lives

To distract from the fact that when it came down to saving British lives, he was holding champagne parties

Every time I nibble on these white chocolate baking pieces it's reminding me that I somehow forgot that the baking chip things, whatever they're called, are usually the cheapest source of better-than-bottom-barrel chocolate and chocolate equivalents around. I knew that, once, and then it slipped my mind for like a decade until tuesday.

The white chocolate ones around here are like 2/3rds the price per ounce of anything else involving the stuff, like 10-15 cent cheaper or something along those lines, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with them, they're just... not marketed as normal candy. So the sellers try to price gouge less, I guess.

I remember, now, though. Most nibbles per nickle I can find.

I associate the concept of baking chocolate with unsweetened chocolate, presumably so you can more easily control the sweetness level of what you're baking. And thus sorta significantly different then most eating chocolate.

I guess that's not universal? Or Frumple likes bitter chocolate?

It's available as both sweetened and unsweetened! The chocolate anyway. The white chocolate just comes in... white chocolate, I guess, I'unno, or at least that's all that was being sold where I got it. But yeah, baking chocolate has other sorts than unsweetened, though unsweetened large is sorta' the "default".

Mind you, even the unsweetened kind isn't exactly bitter, in my experience. It's just not as sweet.
