I'd rather just have cold feet, damn.

Then again, generally speaking, I'm not especially bothered by having cold feet which is funny as someone who is chronically afraid of commitment and gets cold feet such that it's almost December and I'm still regularly wearing flip-flops.

I mean, it's also New Mexico, but it's also unusually cold here for this time of year, so.

Can't imagine having carpeting around a toilet if there's any standing urinators in the house. Fuck, I've seen some nasty toilets.

Actual WTF, to stay on topic-ish:

It's incredible how much things like dirty dishes and clutter hurt my mental health. Like, the kitchen is clean and my mind is at ease, whereas earlier I was getting an anxiety attack just looking at it. Or dusty, crumby floors. Augh, I hate it hate it hate it so.

But, like, who the fuck has an anxiety attack because the kitchen is cluttered?

I need to get my head checked and have all the things wrong in there identified at some point here. At worst, the sooner I go to therapy, the sooner my partner's 'i told you so' is gone and done with.

I like to say I got traumatized into valuing cleanliness. I wasn’t always that way, did my own filth-mongering. But after living with my mom and watching home and self care hit rock bottom, I became incredibly sensitive to filth. Animal filth. Food left out. Stains and spills left where they lay until they layered on top of each other.

So now when I see a visible mess, I clean it. I stay on top of things like dishes, laundry, cleaning up after pets. Do things like spring cleaning. I do it immediately so I don’t give myself an excuse not to. When I’ve used my kitchen knives, they get rinsed, sponged, dried and put back in the block before the food is even done.

That’s how I cope. I saw some pretty unfortunate chaos in my home life so when I was in control of my own, I tell myself my life is in order because I keep my environment in order.

Point is, it’s tied to something. That anxiety translates to action so combat the anxiety. If you’re not connecting the emotional dots then therapy might help you do so.

Carpet in the bathroom is a terrible idea, I don't like going into bathrooms that have carpet in them, that shit is nasty.

Also the carpeting in a bathroom makes it more likely the sub floor in there will be damaged over time as I've noticed that it's hard to dry it out if it gets wet, and that water will eventually soak into the sub floor and cause it to slowly rot over time and then you end up with places where there is only carpet with no flooring underneath it.

Was a bit of a wtf moment to notice that imgur is for some reason blocked in the public/guest wifi of the hospital where I'm currently at.

Gotta prevent employees from "wasting time" while waiting for work to come up.

Though admittedly, some of the staff at the nursing homes would gladly sit on their ass and stare at their phones while call lights were going off. Cutting off social media wouldnt actually help that though.

Wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. :P We've got a bit of a nurse shortage over here and many nurses are quitting and changing careers because they're so overworked.

Anyway, after googling why imgur might be blocked it seems like it's not such an uncommon thing in public wifis. Apparently it's because imgur has been used to spread child porn and other illegal stuff.

Still, odd that only imgur would be blocked here, but many other sites that can be used to spread illegal material are available.

Or order more -- I hear if you get two saurons to run into each other they self-annihilate. It might take the entire timeline with it but thems the risks you take for the fanciest bling.
