Ulster Scots is a language, I found out a while back. Never heard it; assuming it's just a strong Scottish accent in north Northern Ireland, hah.

Reminds me of my childhood.

Back in the days of the mighty Playstation 2 we had a controller with a defective rumble pack. Every time it vibrated the shoulder buttons would zap the player, which was not only annoying but became somewhat painfull after a while.
On the plus side, we became gods in Bloody Roar 3 out of necessity.

Learning to never get hit was obviously the better solution, instead of just stopping to play with the defective controller.

Yeah I mean we can make fun of Welsh and Scottish (which is a language) so I don't see why there should be a double standard here.

Scots, to be pedantic. When people talk about "talking Scottish" it's nearly always talking about Scottish English.

I learned the other day that Norwegian and Swedish is technically the same language. It must be very annoying for them to discover they were actually speaking a dialect of Swedish the whole time.

That's something I noticed during my months in Denmark. The Nordic nations really have a huge contest going on to see which is more Nordic than the rest. The Danish said it was them.

Y'know, I'm honestly not sure... I mean, I'm pretty sure the Danes are the only ones whose government subsidized aquavit in order to encourage youths to drink more of it. And while all Nordics have passionate love for potato, only the Danes made their language sound like someone trying to swallow a potato whole.
