Unfortunately, while nirvana was a universally satisfying and completing transcendent experience that shattered every limitation and sorrow, it was also kind of a low-level itching feeling the entire time. So I'm rather glad it's over, and now I can go back to burning in my own hate and darkness, forever missing the beauty right before my eyes in favor of a meaningless attachment that even I myself do not truly desire.

Wait, Mad Magazine is still around??

Haven't read it or seen it on sale in a while, but I'm fairly certain it is!
Last time I read it a couple of years ago it seemed to have recovered nicely from a bit of a drop in quality I'd noticed in recent times as most of the classic artists and writers passed away or left the magazine, although of course it was hard to compare it to the classic issues of old. Not sure what it's like now, though. Might have to grab a copy and see.   

...Actually I might see if I can find my old Mad collection and dig it out.

AC guy finally came and fixed the AC.  It worked for all of 3 hours before dying again(fortunately this time it did not burst into flame).  AC guys apparently can't send someone out for another look at it for another 3 days(it took them 3 days longer to fix it than they said it would in the first place), unless of course we want to be charged for an emergency visit. 

There has got to be something illegal about this kind of extortion.
