Playing Kill Shot: Virus on my phone.

It's like Kill Shot but with zombies, and some of these zeds need to be targeted in priority.

Also, your main weapon is an assault rifle rather than a sniper, but snipers and shotguns are still used.

The community continues to not exist.

Anyway, I'm watching an ad to get three more chances at supplies.

The ad that plays... Looks remarkably similar to the game.

The ad ends and I discover that it's for a game called Kill Shot: Virus.

I don't know shit about guns.

What I *do* know is that, before you ever put a god-damn round in a gun, you should damn well know what you're going to do with it, and how to do it. Gonna fire it? Gonna take it out again? FIND OUT HOW YOU DO THAT BEFORE DOING IT.

I've handled pistols, and once a mosin nagant. Learned how to unload, safely check if it's loaded, engage safety,  etc. For my brother being kind of a dumb redneck, he's a very responsible gun owner. Somehow I never ended up actually firing one though.

Hmm I wonder why it is such a natural instinct for humans to help hurt wild animals, at least if we aren't too too scared.

I mean stories of this occurring go all the way back to antiquity.

It isn't something most animals do unless the animal in question has been adopted.

Other animals that have done this to my knowledge are some apes and Dolphins.

I have yet to hear of a Elephant helping some random animal.

Probably just our instinct to help our fellow humans getting carried away and applying itself to other creatures. Maybe a side effect of our intelligence lets us think of other animals as symbolic people.

My tunes today have run the gamut from brootal breakfast slamz, to goregrind, sludge, war metal, folk punk, psychedelic stoner-doom, crust and now  extra-sappy pop punk.

When I got up this morning and wound up listening to slam I thought to myself, "oh okay, today feels like it's gonna be an especially brutal kinda day," but somehow I've been unable to stick to any one genre for long. Might listen to some death-doom next, or maybe amp up the weirdness even further by moving on to jazz.

Probably because of how humans are hardwired to care for our young.  Its like how the features we look for in cute animal videos are usually the same features that define human infants.

I saw a thing on TV once about an asian kid who was shipwrecked on an island (his parents died I think) somewhere around Indonesia or thereabouts, and a band of monkeys adopted him and brought him food. I guess they thought he was a big monkey.
