We got a few of those and every time I chose not to kill but yeah the lynch scene was a choice and also powerful.
I think had I not had one reviewer scream "it's about the player!!" I would'be enjoyed it more. But I really don't think you can say "it's bad because it made me feel bad".

If anyone is seeing all these spoilers and has neither opened them nor played the game, i'd say go for it.
It's a bit dated but it's basically CoD with a much better storyline.

The problem is, it's not bad because it made me feel bad. It's bad because it didin't made me feel bad because first, the choices don't even really matter, and the one that would matter is not a choice, so you're basically told to feel bad because of something you had no control over. Yeah, no, not going to feel bad.

It should make you feel bad because you didn't have a choice. Sure as you say, spawning infinite dudes or something would be a "fix" but nobody will be in a position to accept the gravity of the situation after dying 8x to endlessly spawning dudes.
They'd be just as pissed off imo.
Far as it is you're just saying the exact same stuff as the reviewer who ruined the game for me so I guess that's just it.

The mistake they made was going in the first place when, as you can see at the very start of the game, their orders are to scout past the storm wall and report back. Walker's desire to become the hero he sees Konrad as is what causes the events of the game.

Proably. However, as I said, it's completly possible to get rid of all the dudes there by normal means AND STILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET DOWN BECAUSE YOU LITERALLY HAVE TO NUKE THE WHOLE PLACE BEFORE IT LETS YOU GET DOWN, which is the major immersion breaker.

I just got Elder Scrolls Online last night. "Hey, is the tutorial lady voiced by Jennifer Hale?" Yes she is! "Cool, is she used anywhere else in the game?" Not a chance!

I mean, I don't know what else I expected out of Elder Scrolls, they have a history of criminally misusing voice talent. It's still a bit disappointing, because Hale's Lyris voice is almost the same as her Commander Shepard voice.

The thing I think about spops is that, unlike Undertale, it never addresses the player directly. You're never actually told that you have a choice, and like the vast majority of games, you don't. It's really a story about shootman, who isn't you, just a guy that sometimes you get to shoot though.

I don't know if I ever felt responsible for anything that went wrong, but I did feel guilty regardless.

I went up to check our water tank, taking off my slippers while wearing a different pair, and after going back down and planting my feet where my slippers are, I felt an imbalance. in the force

It appears I had only my right slipper on. Feeling a bit confused but moreso amused, I looked around--nothing.

Thinking 'oh I guess someone took it' (nobody else is in the home but me and dad, and dad is busy on the ground floor), I decided to go 'oh let's think that it's displaced and maybe back on the ground floor' which would be wholly contradictory; unless my memory is silly or I just experienced something strange, I do recall climbing to the area where the water tank is with both slippers. I mean, one would obviously notice climbing stairs in this weather with one foot barefoot, right?

So boom, I'm back on the ground floor, with my laptop. My left slipper is parked facing my chair and desk with said laptop. I look at it amusedly and begin typing all this for a tiny tidbit of life.

Life is weird fun.

Maybe it fell back down the stairs in just such a way as to seem untouched later? Dunno, I'm not a slipper-mystery-solver.

I'm really sure that this isn't possible...because the area where my laptop/desk is, is separated by a whole floor, including a whole floor, alongside not being near the stairwell at all.

And that I'm very sensitive with my feet; the stairwell is made out of wood, and it is cold here.
