Seriously though, he has been a pretty shit pope by all accounts. That's just from the occasional news article/trending topic or whatever I've read about his exploits, though. I don't exactly have enough interest in the subject to look into it more than that.

Shit's getting real in the vatican. Apparently 4 cardinals wrote a "dubia" (essentialy an inquiry directed towards a catholic authority for clarification of some things) to the pope, with questions that, when combined, amounted to "hey uh, are you actualy catholic?".

The pope, on the other hand, decided to just avoid them.

This is pretty serious shit. We might have the roots of a possible schism on hand. These guys have the power to declare the pope a heretic.

That's by how connected one is. If little passes by and all of what's heard is generally unfavorable, it'll appear as if that's 'all' of what's going on. So...Yoink wasn't trying to represent him there, or at least that's what I got from those two posts; it's his impression. :O

I think he was addressing the context of his audience, but also sticking to tradition in that way of wording. He is supportive of gays, in that he's supportive of people instead of treating them as concepts, and doesn't like how the faithful discriminate and still call themselves 'faithful' in the idea of an all-loving God.
