Miracles do happen. My new car is goddamn old and the battery just died today. I use this car to get to work. My brother uses this car to go to the airport to pick up his friend who flies out of state every week. This car is well worn and at any point, the battery could have died when we're going to important places.

Tonight, the battery died when my brother went to get coffee. Then as I went to pick him up, apparently, a mechanic specializing on the brand of my car parked next to him.

It was open (though with blinds drawn) and they were calling my name mixed with other Danish I didn't understand in gruff voices accompanied by laughter, then did the same to the next window over (apparently an Anna.) I don't know any of the voices.

If there were a rage/anger thread, then this would be here. I don't care what people do/say to me outside my room, but to disturb and annoy me in my room is beyond the pail.

They've now retreated to the room next to mine, from which is coming loud bangs and blaring music. It's a quarter past one in the morning.

I realized that a hotspring in Iceland and Russian banya are diametric opposites. In banya, you dump hot water near yourself, and then you go out and dump yourself into the snow. At a hotspring, nature dumps snow near you, and then you dump yourself into hot water.

Ticks are fucking horrible.

Haven't encountered any in a while, since they seem to be incredibly common just up the hill from where I live now but down here there are none. But back in the day when my family first moved to that area and encountered ticks for the first time... we lost a couple of pets to them before we became adept at dealing with the little fuckers. It was very sad.

Although on the other hand, my old cat somehow managed to survive a huge (by the time we found it) paralysis tick pumping a shitload of poison into him. We freaked out and took him to the vet (I think this was one of our earliest tick experiences, I don't think we'd even found the tick yet) and were told the cat had taken enough venom to kill a horse.
He still somehow lived on to a ripe old age, for a mostly-outside cat, at least. I loved that cat, what a legend. RIP Pokeweed.

Then he said that it's obviously my fault that I couldn't understand him, because he can hear me just as well when I'm walking away compared to when I am facing him.
